another wonderful tale from my favorite author! My only complaint is they're always too short!

I love this author! I am so grateful each time she publishes another gem of a story, I’ve become so very attached to Penric and Desdemona.

Saint McMaster Bujold gives us another amazing short adventure. While listening to the final paragraphs I found myself hoping that she is taking great care of her health so she can continue to bless us with fantastic stories for many more years.

Another good Pen and Des

If you've enjoyed these novellas up to this point, you'll enjoy this one too. My only complaint would be with the entire series as a whole, in that all of the books with the exception of one are short novellas. I really wish she'd write more full length novels in this series. Their very shortness makes them hard to justify the credits, and I find myself only buying them on significant sales.

Life lessons made digestible

Lois delivers another entertaining tale with threads of deeper truths if you are paying attention.

I love the continuity of these characters. Bujold writes thoughtfully, with humor and insight. always a pleasure to enter the world of the five gods with Pen and Dez. Grover Gardner is perfect, as always.

Clever Pen’s new friend

Too short, as all of these are, but worth a listen! Still not cheap though, but I like the idea.

nice continuation of series

First audio version in the Bujold universe, The reader is skilled. I believe anyone wanting to try an audio version will enjoy this. per book itself...This continues the series. Though it's its own tale, a lot will be missed if you have not read earlier books.
