Daily dose of God's wisdom

I enjoyed the daily devotional format, meant to walk the reader step by step in applying God's Word to his or her life. John and Lisa's devotion to the Lord and His Word make them trustworthy role models.
I would have liked to hear the authors narrate the book, or at least had male and female narrators represent them.

Fear & trembling: not a flippant deceived misperception of salvation... Listen to John's plea! This daily intensive speaks truth into an otherwise irreverent routine of self-centeredness.

Surprisingly Interesting!

Really enjoyed listening. I wouldn't mind buying the book, too. Each day uses a relevant topic and I liked the prayers at the end of each. As a newer Christian it really helped me understand how to seek intimacy with God. I listened in car on way home from work. I would feel so inspired to pursue more time with God or read scripture reference and even used the prayers to further my own prayers to God. Would definitely recommend to any one new in Christ or anyone seeking intimacy with God in their personal faith journey.

Life Changing

Life's Issues dampened my spiritual life I am now asking God to rekindle my fire.

The Reverence of God

I like the whole book! I liked it emphasis on the reference of God, seeking the presence of God, understanding the holiness of God. Going to listen to the book all the way through again!

Wonderful guide to getting closer to our Father

John and Lisa do an excellent job at providing inspired direction on building a closer relationship to God. They provide an honest, no-holds barred teaching of what it means to have a loving, reverential fear of our heavenly Father. Many people hear the words "fear" and "judgement" and interpret the words based on their own personal filters which may have been created from negative experiences in their own lives. But John and Lisa present these words in the context of unconditional love which is what God gives us. We are afraid of hurting the ones we love and respect, which is what reverential fear is about. That is the kind of relationship God wants to have with each of us.

They also do a great job of explaining that it takes time to build a healthy relationship with God just as it does with every relationship in our lives. The relationship will grow as strong as the amount of time you invest in cultivating it. The more time we give God, the stronger the love grows and the more we get to know Him.

Thank you John and Lisa for following your hearts and being faithful to our God by sharing your experiences and wisdom with us through this magnificent book.

This is an amazing book of encouragement! And helps us press into deeper intimacy with God. I highly recommend it!

You must take this to heart

We definitely are wheat amongst the tears. Don't be caught up in our sugar coated church world, get the truth directly from the Word. John and Lisa make it clear to trust in God, not the world. We will each be alone before God on judgement day. Let's be ready!
