The classic novel - now available in audio!

The Browns are going on holiday to France, and Paddington is in charge of the "eyetinnery". He has the whole trip planned down to the last marmalade sandwich, but somehow he takes the family far off the beaten path. With Paddington in charge, one should always plan on the unexpected!

First published in 1961, Paddington Abroad is the fourth novel by Michael Bond chronicling the adventures of this classic character. Paddington has warmed the hearts of generations of fans with his earnest good intentions and humorous misadventures.

I'm partial to my old tapes (loose chippings!) but I am warming up to Hugh.

I love Paddington so much. With his hard stares and marmalade sandwiches and his desire to want to be helpful, he’s a model of what every young bear should be. I’m really enjoying these. I didn’t get them as a child, so I’m thoroughly enjoying reading them as an adult. Bonneville’s narration is excellent, and the stories them selves are a delight from start to finish.

There was nothing I disliked about this book , there is nothing that makes it better than the way it is.

The creativity with the story and doing something different with the way most of the other books plots go.

Paddington didn't really do anything bad in this except for that bank escapade. But mostly, I blame the Browns themselves for letting Paddington go to the bank in the first place. He gets so fired up about things and knows so little of life in London that he should never go out alone. In France, I admit he did pretty well, but again I blame the Browns for letting him wander off and pack his opera glasses.

So-so
