I love it. The story and the performance are very soothing. Ms. Yolen did a great job conveying feeling into her reading.

The story's not action packed enough for my 3 year old, but I think he'll like it as he gets a little older.

This is the bedtime story I was looking for. So many of these books are accompanied by skipping flutes and snare drums. This is a story of a quiet night of owl watching. It is read softly, and the music is soothing. My eight year old son enjoyed it. I'm forty-six and rather enjoyed it myself.

This book has:
• pictures in the app!!! Just like the hard copy, the images in the app will change when it’s time to turn the page. Why don’t all the kids books have it, and why is it so difficult to find how to search for books with this feature?? Arg!
• music! All kids books should have some music lol
• a slow, steady pace - my toddler loves listening to this book back to back when I rock her to sleep lol.

I downloaded this as part of my son’s homeschool curriculum, and kid of thought it would be a waste of a credit. I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the story is and how well it was performed. My son and I really enjoyed it, and it was the perfect book to listen to before our walk today. I highly recommend this book!

With the illustration, reading and the sound effect, this audio book unfolds a magical night owling, so vivid and peaceful. I close my eyes for an afternoon nap time and wake up in dark. As a child at the age of 30 (good for children of any age lol), living in loud city, a peaceful night owling experience seems quite unique! I enjoyed it a lot.
