About this listen

A Kharadron Overlords novel.

Brokrin Ullissonn, a down on his luck duardin captain, has a change in fortunes when he finds an untapped source of aether-gold—but is the danger that awaits him and his crew worth the prize, or are they doomed to fatal failure?

Listen because....

The Kharadron Overlords finally take the starring role in a Black Library novel, and it's as packed with high-skies action, excitement, and danger as a sky-ship's hold is with aether-gold!

The story:

Far above the highest mountain peaks, a new power has arisen. The duardin have developed new technology and weapons of war, and now they sail the skies in their amazing airships, seeking wealth and plunder. Brokrin Ullissonn, Captain of the Ang Drak, has a reputation for bad luck. Unless his fortune turns, and soon, he will lose his ship and his livelihood. When he and his crew discover the location of a source of aether-gold of unparalleled quality, the temptation is too strong to resist. No matter what dangers present themselves, the duardin desire wealth beyond all. But when Brokrin realises what the true cost of the aether-gold will be, is it too late for him to save himself, his crew, and his ship?

Written by C L Werner. Read by Andrew James Spooner. Running time is 10 hours and 34 minutes (approx).

Adventure in the sky!

A well written an excellently narrated Kharadron Adventure. The story touches on the Kharadron themselves, their relations to other groups, and the constant back stabbing among their Chaos foes.

Decent Way to Dip Your Toe Into AOS

I was always wondering what the Age of Sigmar Stories were like and this tale of the Kharadron Warriors was an interesting entry in to that world. I encourage others to give it a listen.

Way better than I was expecting, very impressed!

Was surprised at how much I enjoyed this just because I’ve been struggling to get into Age of Sigmar. This story had a solid plot and worth the listen!

Book is Great

both the author and the reader do fantastic. The other strives to show the nobility of the average Khadraon, while also showing that not all of them are. great pacing, fun dialogue, fantastic action. I am overjoyed that despite the end times sucking we have gotten some first rate novels in the AOS lineup that I thoroughly enjoy.

Good Sky Dwarf Fun

I listened immediately after being disappointed with the first 40k Votann book. That did not deliver, but this one certainly does.

Cranky dwarves, with guns and ships and cool gadgets, on a dangerous treasure hunt and fighting a Chaos cult. There is exciting action, and lots of character development and conflict as the Kharadron balance profit, loss, grudges, and honor.

Good dwarf fun!
