Story
Casey Cox’s DNA is all over the crime scene. There’s no use talking to police; they’ve failed her abysmally before. She has to flee before she’s arrested . . . or worse. The truth doesn’t matter anymore. But what is the truth? That’s the question haunting Dylan Roberts, the war-weary veteran hired to find Casey. PTSD has marked him damaged goods, but bringing Casey back can redeem him. Though the crime scene seems to tell the whole story, details of the murder aren’t adding up.

Story
In her best-selling memoir North of Normal, Cea wrote with grace about her unconventional childhood - her early years living in a tipi in Alberta with her pot-smoking, free-loving counterculture family. But her struggles do not end when she leaves her family at the age of 13 to become a model. Honest and daring, Nearly Normal reveals the many ways that Cea's unconventional childhood continues to reverberate through the years.

Decent book easy and fast listen
This book was a easy listen. The narrator did a excellent job. The story was told in a comedic manner, which actually made me laugh out loud in a few parts. I really disliked the few mentions of "white male privilege" throughout.

This book is a cheap imitation of Not Forgotten.
This book is not worth purchasing or reading. It is a cheap imitation of Not Forgotten by Kenneth Bae. Not Forgotten is a great book and a true story. Out of North Korea is a work of fiction. It copies other books on North Korea. However it lacks what made the other books about North Korea so good. Out of North Korea is filled with sentiments of white guilt and survivor's guilt. It is not an enjoyable book. Avoid it. There are much better books on North Korea than this one. Get those instead.

Alternative Motives
this book was not really about his time in North Korea but how God doesn't exist and how he feels bad about being a white male. Made it to the 6rh chapter. if you're looking for a story about North Korea imprisonment this is not one you want to read or listen to.
