Bernie Sanders ran as a Democratic candidate for president of the United States in 2015 and 2016. He served as mayor of Burlington, Vermont's largest city, for eight years before becoming the sole congressperson for the state in 1990. He was elected to the Senate in 2006 and is now the longest-serving Independent in the history of the Congress. He lives in Burlington, Vermont, with his wife, Jane, and has four children and seven grandchildren.

Mark Ruffalo is an award-winning actor, director, producer, and social activist. Known for high-profile roles in movies such as The Kids Are All Right (2010), The Normal Heart (2014), Foxcatcher (2015), and Spotlight (2015) as well as blockbusters like The Avengers (2012) and The Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), he made his directorial debut with Sympathy for Delicious at the Sundance Film Festival in 2010. He was an ardent supporter of Senator Bernie Sanders' bid for the Democratic nomination for president.

Hard to believe that this man who cares so much is not our next President!! He is the only honest guy out their who actually cares for our nation and it's people! Thank you Bernie Sanders for giving us hope and leading the way and fighting injustice. Remarkable reading by Bernie and Mark

Take the good with the bad

Bernie did good narrating, the other guy does a bit of a disservice to the movement with his failure to maintain control of his emotions. He speaks too much with disgust and condescension...and his laughs...his laughs are a mediocre attempt to manage his breath that are often timed inappropriately.

Excellent, a must read... Bernie you are my president...

Bernie Sanders covers all crucial issues facing our democracy. He approaches each and every with clear explanations and solutions. He is my HERO.

mandatory reading for all politicians. almost all sad news. a sad state usa is in now! !!!

Eye-opening but depressing

Full of well researched and informative discussion of various issues this country suffers.

However, it is at the same time depressing to realize how big corporations are really the ones in control. And there only agenda is high profits; period!

Mike's added snickering in his narration was a bit off-putting.

Great Audiobook!

I really enjoyed this audiobook! Senator Sanders is very easy to listen to and speaks in a very nice conversational tone. I am only half finished, but really enjoy the book so far!

I recommend this book..

The only problem I had was the narrator at the mid part of the book (Mark Ruffalo). The book was very informative .

Wish I would have known

I wish I would've known the things that Bernie talks about in this fantastic book. it's really too bad that our current administration can provide no plan for the future of our nation. I am sad with the election results but find new hope in the future of our youth. Everyone should read this book especially Democrats.

I would recommend this book to anyone, who does not know about the Revolution. If they are late to politics, this book defines both why so many young people became enamored with Bernie Sanders.

The youth of our land have risen up and became excited about politics the way it should be. The youth saw they had a chance to change things in our country.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

All of us old hippies, thought the chance to change the world had slipped out of our hands. We thought all politics was corrupt, but in Bernie, we could tell he told the truth. And when the young people of our land (America) became excited by Bernie's message, Hope once again rose in our breasts.
