Buckhead isn’t a place you live, it’s a place you survive. And that applies even to the wealthy housewives that have it all. Fancy cars, designer clothes, and daily salon appointments aren’t nearly enough to keep them fulfilled and happy. For Aggie DeLucci, former assistant private investigator and current housekeeper extraordinaire, 1975 is turning out to be a banner year. There’s a new man her life, Mac. He makes her laugh, takes her dancing, and makes a helluva salami sandwich. When Mac is accused of theft, it’s up to Aggie to clear his name. Spencer Quinn’s first original audio short story reveals how everyone’s favorite detective duo - Chet the Dog and P.I. Bernie Little - came to meet before their first big case in Dog On It. As fans know, Chet first met Bernie on that fateful day when he flunked out of K-9 police school. The details of that day, though, have always remained a little vague (like so much in Chet’s doggy brain). All we know is that Chet had been the best leaper in his K-9 class, but for some reason he failed his final leaping test...and that a cat was involved...and that there was some blood. But whose?

Totally worth it !!!
“Only the Good Die Young” is a delightful addition to Julie Mulhern’s Country Club Murders series. As a later addition to the series, it subtly displays the maturity the author has gained throughout this series but is written with the innate gift of dialogue, characters and humor she has displayed from the beginning.
While this is a novella and relatively short, I found it totally worth using one of my Audible credits. I anticipate listening to it multiple times.
Oh, Frances !!! We already knew you were a schemer, but a fibber too !!! You naughty, naughty girl!!!

Frances Walford finds a Dead Body!
This falls into the series at 1.5 position. Seeing how Mrs. Walford acts upon finding a dead body was a unique experience. Poor woman couldn’t help wanting to hide the truth from everyone. It is bad enough that daughter Ellison usually finds the bodies.
I wish this could have been longer, but the author, Julie Mulhern was able to tell a wonderful in this space. My favorite parts were when Mrs. Walford found herself alone with Anarchy Jones. He is the homicide investigator that Ellison has developed a crush on. No matter how often she tells Ellison about more appropriate men to date, Ellison sticks to her own wishes and Frances Walford is starting to understand why.
Highly recommend.

What a rip off
I'd hardly call this a book. I was expecting a continuation of the story but instead this little snippet supposedly fits in after book 1. Guess I wasn't paying close enough attention and didnt' see that the recorded book is only just short of 2 hours.
