About this listen

A fiery new enemies-to-lovers, second chance stand-alone romance from number-one New York Times best seller Lauren Blakely performed by Andi Arndt and Jason Clarke, with Sebastian York! Enjoy appearances from Zachary Webber, Shane East, and Erin Mallon in this delicious romance!

Lucas Xavier is the last person I want to spend 24 hours with, let alone two minutes. Exes are exes for a reason. In his case, for a million reasons. Because he's not only an ex-lover, he's also an ex-friend. We didn't just break up - we combusted in a spectacular bonfire of barbs and doors slammed.

Nothing will change that. Not his clever wit, not his ridiculous good looks, not his unfair levels of charm. And definitely not a wild dash through the city that takes us on an accidental scavenger hunt through our past, where we stop for a tango lesson, pancakes and a visit with some llamas.

And certainly not time together to make amends and say we're sorry.

But, let's say that was enough...it's not like you can fall in love in 24 hours.

Can you?

This audio book contains a bonus novella! Debuting first in audio is Your French Kisses, a stand-alone novelette in the Boyfriend Material series, performed by Shane East and Erin Mallon.

The narrators!!

It’s one thing to listen to a good book read by one narrator, and better when there are two.

But all of my faves narrating one book?? Outstanding!

The story was pretty great, too. Lauren Blakely is definitely one of my favorite romance authors.

Absolutely loved this book!

One Night Stand-In was a fabulous second chance romance. This book was funny, steamy and never a dull moment. When Lucas and Lola have to work together to go on a scavenger hunt to save the belongings of their love struck siblings, they have to put their own past feelings of passion and hurt behind them. You will love finding out just how and what is uncovered on this journey!

The cast of narrators did an amazing job!

Second chance for romance

Lucas and Lola were friends ten years ago but a misunderstanding drove them apart. His brother and her sister are a couple and need their help in getting their things back from their landlord. As they begin the weekend together in a scavenger hunt for the items, they rediscover their friendship and love. Another wonderful story from Lauren Blakely with fabulous narration by Andi Arndt and Jason Clarke with appearances from Sebastian York, Zachary Webber, Shane East and Erin Mallon. There's also a novella at the end, Your French Kisses.

So Many Smiles!!!

Have you ever listened to a book and smiled from beginning to the very end? That’s what this book did to me – all the love and smiles from the opening dialogue to final wrap-up. Lucas and Lola had the friendship – headed to lovers relationship gone bad, but now cannot avoid each other when their respective siblings need their help. Ms. Blakely’s ability to tell this love story that happens in the midst of a scavenger hunt is romantic comedy perfection. She weaves a tale that has just enough historic detail to not overwhelm the reader, while setting the stage for what will happen next. And let’s face it, there’s nothing better than listening to two people want each other and try to talk themselves out of it – it’s comedy & romance gold!

Speaking of Gold – the narration on this book is PERFECTION to the extreme! The words were written for the narrators as the cast shines! We begin with some lovely banter between Lucas (Jason Clarke) and Reed (Shane East). Lola (Andi Arndt) confides to her best friends Amy & Payton and surprise we have Peter the Rollerblade dude show up (Erin Mallon). The landlord who starts this scavenger hunt is grumpy, but funny (Sebastian York) and the spazzy brother to Lucas gets to pop in with his off the wall discussions (Zachary Webber). How could audiobook lovers not want this book in the repeat pile with all this talent and words of love!?!
Five stars is not enough for a book that is so perfectly executed to give a HEA while weaving in characters from previous books at hinting at future storylines. All the stars for all the smiles!!!

Loved this second chance romance!

I loved this electrifying, and sexy, enemies to lovers, second chance romance! This unique and intriguing story captured me right from page one and never let go. Lucas and Lola share not only a heartbreaking past, they also share younger siblings who are madly in love with each other! Lucas and Lola both feel responsible for them, and get roped into helping them recover their property after a quirky landlord hides it all. Lucas and Lola were college best friends who shared a hot passionate moment. They made plans to take their relationship further the next day, only to have unforeseen events get in the way. Neither handled the heartbreaking disappointment well, and they soon became rival enemies. Now years later, they are still rivals, but they reluctantly agree to work together on a scavenger hunt to recover their siblings prized possessions. I loved watching them work together so skillfully, playing off each others strengths. The longer they worked together, the more they remembered what drew them to each other in the first place. They soon realize that they are not bound by youth and pride any longer and can own up to their true feelings. This story was so much fun, and I loved the thrill of trying to figure out the clues which kept me totally engaged from start to finish. The banter between Lucas and Lola is fun and flirty and their chemistry is explosive! A favorite part for me is that Blakely always loves to give us fun pov's and epilogues with great twists that make me very happy!
Andi Arndt, and Jason Clarke give amazing performances, along with special guest appearances by Sebastian York, Zachary Webber, Shane East, and Erin Mallon. All of these very talented narrators can easily voice different characters, but I love these multi cast performances with each character having their own distinct voice. I feel like I'm right there among all my friends, making it even more fun, and engaging.

Keep listening at the end for the fun bonus of 'Your French Kisses', the closing novella in the Boyfriend Material series. This is about Reid, Lucas' friend and business partner, and Marley, the woman who captured his heart, one magical afternoon, three years ago in Paris. They went their separate ways, never forgetting the other, and always wondering if their path's would cross again. Shane East and Erin Mallon narrate this truly romantic, serendipitous tale of two people who are absolutely destined to be together! They really did an amazing job of capturing the magic of this enchanting romance!

I loved it!

This is the third book in the Boyfriend Material Series. I haven't listened to the first books in this Series yet. This is a great enemies to lovers, and second chance at love. Lucas and Lola's story is fun, sweet, and sexy. They share an undeniable and sizzling chemistry. I loved to follow them in their journey. The cast of supporting characters is amazing. Andi Arndt and Jason Clarke did an amazing job as Lucas and Lola. In addition, the full cast narration brings to life the this story perfectly. The Bonus, French Kisses novella, is a great addition to this audiobook. Shane East and Erin Mallon did a great job reading this story. I loved it! Looking forward to listen to more books written by Lauren Blakely.

Cute second chance romance through a scavenger hunt

Excellence narration for this quick moving romance between two graphic designers who were college best friends falling each other until an unfortunate circumstance, fear and miscommunication causes hard feelings and an estrangement that lasts 10 years. The story is cute and sweet and the novella that follows is super sappy but again has superb narration.

Great narration, mostly likable characters

The narration was terrific, as always!

The characters’ witty banter was fun, but for me this was the weakest of the series because the thing that was holding them back was fear that they’d lose their friendship, but unlike Peyton and Tristan, that relationship was like 5 minutes old. The premise of the scavenger hunt and their dialogue were fun, but the whole thing lacked depth to me. All that being said, it’s still enjoyable and I wouldn’t recommend skipping it or anything, it’s just not as good as the others.
