Publisher's summary

Welcome back to Aspen Cove, where everything is safe, including your secrets.

After being booted from her hit renovation show, Reno or Wreck It, Jewel Monroe moves to Aspen Cove to lick her wounds. No one seems to know who she is, and that’s a secret she wants to keep. When that old familiar need to renovate burns inside her, she buys a rundown house. She can have it at cost if she helps sexy real estate agent Mason Van der Veen turn the property from pitiful to profitable in two months. Is the deal too sweet to be true?

Mason Van der Veen is in trouble. He scooped up several properties in Aspen Cove, hoping to turn the town into the next Colorado vacation mecca. When that plan fails, his father tells him that if he can’t renovate two properties in Aspen Cove for a profit in 60 days, he’ll lose his job and his 35 million dollar trust fund. Jewel is his secret weapon and has the notoriety to bring him the attention he needs, but she can’t help if she stays a secret. Mason must choose between her wishes and his needs.

She keeps secrets. He uncovers truths. Can they work together to build a custom-made love that lasts?

Sweet Contemporary

I liked this story about sacrifice and compromise in the name of love. Jewel and Mason should have never worked nor should she have trusted him, but she did. His betrayal saw her walk away. He needed to make this right for both of them. Logan McAllister did a great job on the narration.

Another winner in the series

In this latest audiobook in the series, we are back in Aspen Cove where many go to escape their previous lives, hide, or just visit, and in the end realize it’s the perfect place to be.
This time the story belongs to Jewel Monroe and Mason Van der Veen.
Jewel had a hit renovation show but after an embarrassing incident, is out of a job. Leaving town was the only option for her. But the love of renovating is ingrained and when a rundown house becomes available in Aspen Cove she feels a need to do what she loves.
Mason is a real estate agent who is in deep trouble. Not only because his plans for Aspen Cove are not what he expected, but also because of his father’s demands.
Jewel might be able to help him, but in doing so, Jewel’s secret might be revealed.
Will they find a happy medium or will material success win over love?
The story was engaging as well as thought provoking. A reminder that sometimes what you thought you wanted is not the right answer.
As always, it was a delight to spend time with characters from previous stories.
The narrator was excellent.
Another winner in the series.

Such a delight

I loved this story and audiobook from beginning to end.
Feeling annoyed at every interruption from my family meaning I could no longer listen to it.
Jewel came to Aspen Cove to hide away from the world after her marriage breakup and life imploded on prime time tv.
Mason was in Aspen Cove trying to perform an impossible task that his father had threateningly pushed upon him, meaning he would possibly lose his inheritance and livelihood.
On meeting and recognising her Mason and Jewel work out a mutually beneficial way to help each other out.
A win, win for both of them until it’s not.
A story of betrayal, humiliation, loss then starting over and finding yourself, misunderstanding then forgiveness and finally letting in love.
I enjoyed all the characters in the story and now will have to catch up on Kelly’s other stories that I have not read.
Both the story and narration was excellent.
I received a copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving a review.
