About this listen

Using newly declassified information, Dick Russell builds on three decades of painstaking research in On the Trail of the JFK Assassins, offering one of the most comprehensive and authoritative examinations of the assassination of our 35th president. Included are new revelations, such as the theory that Lee Harvey Oswald was subjected to “mind control,” Russell’s personal encounters inside the KGB headquarters, and new information gleaned from an interview with Oswald’s widow. Russell here comes closer than ever to answering the ultimate question: Who killed JFK?

Editorial reviews

Dick Russell has compiled an important addition to the body of work seeking to makes sense of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, in 1963. Russell firmly takes the side of conspiracy theory but his journalistic approach will be of interest even to staunch skeptics. Russell discusses his personal history with the reporting on JFK, presents his own previous work, and the work of other investigations in an organized fashion. He builds on this base with newly declassified and researched material. For this audiobook Sean Runnette evokes, intentionally or not, the voice of news anchor Dan Rather with his equal-parts conversational and authoritative manner of delivering serious information.

a complete excellent account

Well worth listening to , with good attention paid to the inconsistencies of the Warren report, Zapruder film and the x-rays. Author actually went to many of the witnesses to interview them if they were still alive.

Great, Great Book

This is a must read for anyone who doesn't understand how the world works.... The Big Lie didn't just start on 11/23/63, but it prevailed exponentially and hasn't let up since. Read this book, you will enjoy it and learn a lot.

Revealing

Explicit detail. Very thought provoking. Troubling in some ways if such conspiracies can be facilitated for such a long period of time such that history is actually permanently rewritten with a lie! 1984 ish in basis.

Read this after you've read a few other JFK books.

Highly recommended, but if you're new to the subject, my suggestion is to read this one after you've read a few other JFK assassination books.

The assassination is obviously a complex topic, and after finishing this book, I felt that I would've been somewhat confused had I not already read a few other works that were a bit more straight-forward.

That being said, Dick Russell does a great job of uncovering a lot of information you won't get in those other books.

Comprehensive review

This book does a great job at synthesizing the events surrounding the JFK assassination. It incorporates the the key events in a digestible way. Although, I’m a JFK junky
