About this listen

To kill the prince, she must first kill her heart.

Princess Riona was eight when the Revonian king murdered her family and conquered her kingdom with a mysterious magic. She has spent the last decade training—and waiting for her moment to avenge them all and reclaim her rightful title.

Now that the king is ailing, Riona secures a position within the Revonian royal palace. Her goals? Get close to the prince. Kill him. Uncover Revon's secret magic. Make the king suffer. Only then can she take back her country.

But the closer she gets to the prince, the more he surprises her with kindness, honor, and wit. He is nothing like his cruel father. Worse yet, he sees right through to her heart. When she planned this assassination, her heart didn't factor in.

And now it's about to ruin all her plans.

Perfect for fans of Tara Grayce, Shari Tapscott, and Kenley Davidson, Of Stormlarks and Silence is a slow-burn, clean, YA romantic fantasy. It is an interconnected standalone in the Kasmian Chronicles series.

Contains a bonus short story, "Of Summer and Stormlarks."

Absolutely swoonworthy!

A revenge story with a twist...
when Ria attempts to get revenge on the King and prince of Revon for the mass destruction of her parents and people of Makaria, things take an unexpected turn as she discovers that the true enemy may not be who she has thought all along. This is an extremely swoony delight full of playful banter, enemies to lovers, found family, and now has spectacular narration to really bring the story to life!

LITERAL PERFECTION

I just finished the audiobook as my 4th or 5th read-through of this. I've lost count, but the audiobook was absolutely PERFECT!! I don't know how I'll ever get through the rest of my audio library now because I'm so tempted to just listen to this on repeat for the rest of my life (or at least until the next book has audio available, haha). Literal perfection!!!

Here's my original review:

This was a super good, very well written, sweet and mostly cozy story! The characters were fantastically written, and I absolutely loved their growth throughout the story. I love the friendship between Tristan and Liam. It really reminded me of Arthur and Merlin's friendship (in the show, Merlin). The ending couldn't have been more perfect. I'll definitely be reading the short stories and anything else that comes out in this series!

such an interesting world!

I loved the interesting world and characters. The use of magic was different than I've seen before and I loved the mirror magic idea. The romance was lovely and the ending very satisfying.

I Love this Book So Much!

Not gonna lie…this is my third time reading Of Stormlarks and Silence and each and every time it is more enjoyable than the last! With it’s stabby heroine intent on revenge, chivalrous and compassionate prince, sweet, swoony, but clean romance, deep emotional plot, and a whole cast of interesting, wonderful, and devastatingly evil characters, I knew the first time I read it it would be a favorite reread and escape for me…and it has!

Riona has been waiting nearly ten long years to enact revenge on her parent’s murderer, but when she succeeds in getting a position as Prince Tristan’s chambermaid she isn’t prepared for the compassionate and tortured Prince she meets.

And Tristan…well Tristan has a secret of his own. One that haunts his dreams and plaques his thoughts. But he hasn’t let that keep him from becoming just and honorable. On the contrary, he has used it to fuel it. But when the lovely new chambermaid—Rea—arrives he finds himself drawn to her.

Will Riona submit to hatred and enact her long sought revenge or will love win out when the chip’s finally fall? You just need to read this story and discover all its magic for yourself!!!

The audio also contained the short story Of Summer and Stormlarks, which in my opinion is one of the greatest short stories ever written! This too was a reread for me, but it was just as sweet and fulfilling as the first time. I really don’t know how Lopez fits so so much into so few pages…but…SHE IS AN ABSOLUTE GENIUS!!!

As this was an audio reread I should mention that the narration was wonderful and I very very much enjoyed it! I highly recommend!

Anyways! Of Stormlarks and Silende is an absolutely wonderful book! A very very favorite of mine! If you love endearing characters that are tortured by their past and seek closure, even at the hands of revenge and deceit, a prince that is everything and all things a prince should be, a plethora of unique side characters, a story filled with betrayal, sacrifice, redemption, unique magic, romance, and most importantly forgiveness, then you HAVE TO read Of Stormlarks and Silence!!!
