Good read

So, I discovered K.M. Moronova with The Fabric of Our Souls and from the moment I read that book I loved her writing.
I opened this book expecting the same sort of experience. On that end, it is my fault perhaps that I was a bit disappointed in this book.
I am not used to reading RH and I am not opposed to everything that went with it in this book.
I was a bit bored with some parts, and very grossed out with other parts.
All in all, I think this was a good read and I would def recommend it. I will be reading the next book as well.
It just didn't rattle the stars for me.

Went in knowing nothing

And really enjoyed the storyline and am excited for book two! I didn’t expect it to be a reverse harem and I love that it went that route and how it got there. I think there is also quite a bit of depth in the world-building and lore and I’m quite impressed by that! Excited for book 2!

This story is perfect with mystery and emotional romance.

This story is for sure one of the more mystery romances I’ve experienced. I always want to know what is going to happen. Trying to piece together the secrets are fantastic. I know it’s a dark story, it says it right in the description however you feel so deeply for these characters. It’s easy to forget that. I need more.!!!!!!!!!

The way the story knit together!

I'd really like to know if the 2nd book will be narrates to audio bc this was ghastly and perfect. if that makes sense.

Wish book 1 was longer - looking forward to 2

I am hooked. At first the character shifting through me but the author pulls it together nicely. Can't wait for the audio book for book 2!

Absolutely loved it!

I haven’t been this excited for a book in a long time and I read a book a day. Yes there could have been more character development but overall it was fantastic and fresh! I think we’ll understand more about the characters in the coming books. This felt very much like a world discovery without being soo wordy in the world building that you want to fall asleep. The spicy scenes were definitely spicy but could have been more descriptive. It was like dark romance spicy with new adult level descriptions.
The story is fresh and exciting and leaves you continually wanting more more more. 1000% recommend this read.

this entire book was SO intriguing, I couldn't put it down because I needed to know what happened next! Can't wait for Book 2!

Not bad. Got invested by the end.

I went into this book thinking it’d be 5 chili peppers and it’s like 2, maybe. There was some beautifully written passages but the story moved kind of slow but at the same time a lot of information was thrown at you really fast. I think the premise has promise and is really interesting. I’ll probably read the next one because I’m now curious of the story line but if you’re reading this for the spice. It’s pretty minimal.
