Good read

So, I discovered K.M. Moronova with The Fabric of Our Souls and from the moment I read that book I loved her writing.
I opened this book expecting the same sort of experience. On that end, it is my fault perhaps that I was a bit disappointed in this book.
I am not used to reading RH and I am not opposed to everything that went with it in this book.
I was a bit bored with some parts, and very grossed out with other parts.
All in all, I think this was a good read and I would def recommend it. I will be reading the next book as well.
It just didn't rattle the stars for me.

This story is perfect with mystery and emotional romance.

This story is for sure one of the more mystery romances I’ve experienced. I always want to know what is going to happen. Trying to piece together the secrets are fantastic. I know it’s a dark story, it says it right in the description however you feel so deeply for these characters. It’s easy to forget that. I need more.!!!!!!!!!

The way the story knit together!

I'd really like to know if the 2nd book will be narrates to audio bc this was ghastly and perfect. if that makes sense.

Not really sure what happened

This book is definitely all about world building. The story is intriguing but there is a lot going on. The book is also following 4 different characters. Two of the characters are together and two are off on their own having completely different experiences. So, I might need to listen again so I’m fully following the story. But like I said, the story of interesting and definitely leaves me wanting more. Hopefully the whole series will be good.

Went in knowing nothing

And really enjoyed the storyline and am excited for book two! I didn’t expect it to be a reverse harem and I love that it went that route and how it got there. I think there is also quite a bit of depth in the world-building and lore and I’m quite impressed by that! Excited for book 2!

this entire book was SO intriguing, I couldn't put it down because I needed to know what happened next! Can't wait for Book 2!

Not bad. Got invested by the end.

I went into this book thinking it’d be 5 chili peppers and it’s like 2, maybe. There was some beautifully written passages but the story moved kind of slow but at the same time a lot of information was thrown at you really fast. I think the premise has promise and is really interesting. I’ll probably read the next one because I’m now curious of the story line but if you’re reading this for the spice. It’s pretty minimal.

This whole book was slooooow, over detailed, and jumped everywhere at all times. I am having so many issues with the portrayals of the happenings with in the world created. I cannot connect with any of the characters or their progresses. the voice overs cannot create good persona's for the characters. it's either old man or child, there us no in between. I do not recommend. it is very difficult to listen to prolonged. it has taken me weeks to finish this due to boredom with in the story, writer add too much useless detail in once scene (I get, trying to paint a picture) but it ends up just....talking about the walls....no joke...save your purchase for a better one.
