About this listen

A seven-time Teen Choice Award Winner on Freeform's most-watched series, Pretty Little Liars... A social media influencer with over seven million followers... An avid bird-watcher? Yes, Ian Harding is all of these things and so much more. In this memoir, explore the unexpected world of a young celebrity through the lens of his favorite pastime - birding.

Odd Birds is more than just a Hollywood memoir or tell-all. At its heart this audiobook is a coming-of-age story in which Ian wrestles with an ever evolving question: How can he still be himself while also being a celebrity? Each humorous and heartfelt story features a particular bird - sometimes literal, at other times figurative. Using this framework, Ian explores a variety of topics, including growing up, life as a television actor and nature lover, and whether it is better to shave or wax one's chest for an on-screen love scene.

A funny and heartwarming window into Ian's life, Odd Birds is a must-listen for fans of nature writing and memoir alike.

Off Birders

I read the book for its title, not knowing of the actor/author (though his show had just been recommended to me by an adult male who enjoyed watching it with his daughter). The stories are funny (the turkey!) and real, especially when describing the passion of birders for seeing birds - and non-birders just not understanding (indifference) of the vast appreciation for life that birds can bring. I would love to hear more from Ian Harding, maybe a book about (odd) birders perhaps? They make fascinating subjects and I enjoyed the descriptions of people Ian encountered on his journey.

Fantastic

He was so easy to listen to. The stories make you daydream. It was nice to see about his life but not be all about him.

Not so Odd

This is a great read!!! Ian Harding is a fantastic storyteller. This book is perfect for anyone who loves nature, having adventures, and of course PLL. I loved all birding stories and how it's a hobby that you can do anywhere. Ian also has a great narrator's voice, really easy listen.

Not such an odd bird after all.

i loved that the book was narrated by Ian Harding. I feel that it gave more depth and meaning to his memories and stories. The book was like having a conversation with an old friend. I connected to in a few ways...its okay to an odd bird. lol. i suggest the book as a light read. It definitely is well written with hints of humor, in which i sincerely laughed out loud. Plus your a plls fan (like myself you get to hear about some off screen activities.) Ian...if you read this hope you write another book soon..maybe you'll seee a condor by then!

I highly recommend the book!

The book is great! I did not know what to expect. Especially because the title is also very "odd", but Ian shares his small stories of his life in a wonderful way. He uses a lot of great metaphors and similes that made me laugh so many times troughout the book. The story isn't extraordinary but all those bird stories are surprisingly very fun to listen to! I see birds in a different way now..Long story short the audio book is really good I recommend it!

Ian is incredible grounded!

I really enjoyed Ian's story, his little tidbits about PLL were perfect, but I enjoyed getting to know him as a human, and bird lover, as well.
