Acerca de esta escucha
In the fifth novel in Malcolm Archibald's series of 19th-century detective novels, Sergeant Watters finds himself overwhelmed with three simultaneous cases.
With a case of poisoning, a series of child kidnappings, and somebody with a seeming dislike of clocks and watches, Watters and his team are stretched thin. Things become even more complicated when a circus comes to Dundee, and Watters has to help raid an illegal gambling den.
Fortunately, Dr. Beaton is there to help. But who is the mysterious man who crosses his path in Dundee, and why would anyone wish to kidnap boys from impoverished backgrounds?
Find out in Not a Pukka Gentleman, a riveting historical mystery set in 19th-century Dundee, Scotland.

First-Rate Detective Fiction
What a pleasant surprise to discover such a cleverly plotted and well-written novel! Mind you, it took me most of the first two chapters to get used to the narrator's thick accent. I missed a good bit at the beginning simply because I found it so difficult to understand what was being said. Once I adjusted, however, I began really enjoying the story. And I am not that easy to please. I look forward to reading or listening to other works by Malcolm Archibald.

Interesting
This was a very interesting set of three mysteries. They each kept me guessing as to who the perpetrators were until they were revealed in the story. They were interesting and kept me engaged until the end. I would recommend this. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing the characters and story to life.

A great and quite complex storyline. When Sergeant Waters is tasked to investigate a case of child snatching alongside numerous other seemingly unrelated crimes.
Superbly narrated.

Very enjoyable mystery stories
Not a Pukka Gentleman is #5 (last) in the Detective Watters Mystery series by Malcolm Archibald. The book and series is set in 19th century Dundee, Scotland and is a well written story with multiple mysteries to solve. The narration by Grant Love was excellent. His performance using different voices, accents and inflections for each character brought the story to life and enhanced my enjoyment of the book. I received a free audiobook code for my honest review.

A good Victorian Mystery
I usually figure out the mystery in most books before I get 1/2 way through. This one had me puzzled right up to the end of the story. The Narrator does a Great job with all the different voices and the Entire Storyline of this ebook.
