What a character! At first I didn't like Hoon, but he definitely grew on me. Looking back on the story I felt a bit in the dark as I didn't get good word pictures of the surroundings. So much of the story was spent on foul-mouthed humor that I didn't see much more.

Another great series from JD Kirk! I love Bob Hune!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I love all of these Scottish books and, thank you, Angus King for such an amazing performance as always! Absolutely the BEST - Hoon is a literary gift!!
Still huge fan of DCI Logan series with JD Kirk and narrated by Angus King on Audible having enjoyed Hoon's politically incorrect vocabulary and actions as supporting role- - BUT NOW as lead... He is a gem to follow along. Story balances the seriousness of the criminality with crime fiction humor at its best. Really enjoyed the journey with Hoon. Can't wait for the next installment in the trilogy! Great Job!!

JD Kirk is brilliant!

OMG
I love this book. I can't remember whether it was a recommendation or not. But I read the synopsis, decided to get the first and second audiobook . Awesome Protagonist curmudgeonly, hilarious and underneath an honorable empathetic man struggling to do the right thing no matter how difficult. I am so looking forward to the second book. More Hoon!
