About this listen

It's been 20 years since the fall, the destruction the world brought on itself. Can Terry Henry Walton, enhanced as he is, help bring civilization back as he seeks to atone for previous actions?

By protecting and nurturing the ones with the knowledge. Terry Henry Walton begins building his Force de Guerre, a paramilitary group that will secure this new world from those who would take and destroy.

When the enemies of peace appear before the FDG is ready, Terry partners with a werewolf to fight a battle that he must win.

Set in the Kurtherian Gambit universe, Nomad Found begins the Terry Henry Walton Chronicles, the time between the WWDE and the return of Michael to Earth.

As noted in other series set in the Kurtherian Universe, there is cursing in this book, occasionally. It's funny, too.

This book took me a while to finish, but it did it's job. It hooked me into getting the next book in this series and continuing on with the story. I look forward to see how TH is going to rebuild civilization.

A very good after the apocalypse book

I’m sorry to say that Kate Rudd just isn’t who I think of when it comes to a male driven story. It’s like hearing Dame Judy Dench read John Wayne. Just doesn’t fit. Not that Kate doesn’t try her best but I struggled to try to enjoy listening to the story while driving since reading and driving are frowned upon by my family, the police and my insurance company.

Great story, need a male reader

Excellent addition to the "Kurtherian Universe". I really liked his character in Anderle's book, and I wonder if he married his female kryptonite and had some good years before WWDE. Hope to hear the backstory as to when he got his injection of the Fountain of Youth. Look forward to reading/audio of next books in series. Rudd does a great job with narration.

Go, TH!

If you love the TQB series your sure to enjoy this one as well. Even the authors notes gave me a good laugh.

I loved it!

A personal message.

I got this book way back when it was a free read, free listen or it was $1.99, not sure which. Anyway, I would have read all of them but I can’t spend $67 on the other 9 books in the series. I did read the first 9 books in the Kurtherian series but, again, the price went waaaay up and I stopped there. How can authors really expect readers to spend that kind of money on one series? There’s going to be a total of 27 books in the Kurtherian series. Anyway, I wrote a letter to Audible about the prices they set on their books and guess what? They wrote me back and told me they had nothing to do with the prices of those series’, that the author and the publishers set that price. For real?

I just wanted all you Audible listeners to know that the greediness comes from the authors and publishers NOT from Audible. At least, that’s what Audible says. Oh, and I did use the QUESTION box on Goodreads and asked Michael Anderle about it but, of course, he never answered me.

I know I'm going to mess around and get kicked off of Goodreads and Audible for daring to state my opinion, just like I did on Amazon. Oh, I can fill my Kindle with books and shop like crazy but I'm not allowed to leave a review on a book or on something I bought. I can only spend money. So, if you ever STOP seeing my reviews you'll know what happened to me. I'm wondering if this will even be posted on Audible, to tell you the truth.

OK, enough ranting.

Now to the book.

I loved it. Loved Terry Henry Walton and Char, Margie Rose, (sometimes) Billy Spires, didn’t like Felicity, liked Terry’s soldiers. I simply hated Sawyer Brown and he got exactly what was coming to him.

It was all about Terry making it to Margie Rose’s house sick and tired and so thirsty. She took him in, got him better, and when bad guys came to try to take the food she’d grown Terry kicked all four of their butts. Then went into town and found the mayor Billy Spires and told him he’d be his head of security and make sure no one came to town to take anything from the town. After seeing his men and finding out Terry killed one of them Billy thought he should try Terry’s idea. And it began: the training, the helping of the farmers and the complete turn-around of Mayor Billy Spires. And, Sawyer Brown thinking he could come into town and take what he wanted and killing two of the town’s people.

No sex and the F-bomb is used 64 times.

As to the narration: You can’t get much better than Kate Rudd. Her voices and emotions are spot on.

Great book and awesome narration..

overall good book. T narrator took a few chapters to get used to but once you were in the story it didn't matter because the story has you

At first I wasn't sure about this book when I saw it in my suggestions. However my curiosity got the best of me and I figured "why the heck not". Thankfully my curiosity ended up being a win for me. The story seemed to be a typical post apocalyptic theme (don't get me wrong for the most part it is) but there is a twist in it that I have not seen in many other books in this genre. The narration was a little iffy at first but Kate Rudd did eventually grow on me.

Now there are a few things I didn't like about the book but for the most part you can brush a couple of these reasons off due to nitpicking. The first reason is simple yes, I did say the story had a good twist to it but it is another apocalyptic story from another P.O.V. of a "badass". There were some moments in the narration where it was a bit difficult to understand Kate Rudd when she would say a characters name but you can figure out who it is after a line or two. Now for the biggest reason
WARNING A SLIGHT SPOILER skip this part of you absolutely don't want to know but this isn't that crucial you find this out in the first couple chapters. The dudes a marine!!!! Come on again!?!? Now I don't have a problem with military I'm a Army Vet and that explains why I say COME ON!! There are other badasses in other branches of the military too you know lmao!

All in all I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a shorter book to pass the time or fill in time until a book you are waiting for comes out. But be warned it did make me want to continue on with the series so proceed at your own risk.

I picked this up since it was available on Kindle unlimited and it was a pleasant surprise. Only while going thru the author's notes did I realize that it's dry in a universe which TH is a minor character, which was very interesting. Now I have to check out the Kuthetian Gambit series to figure out the rest of the universe. Overall it's a book about post apocalyptic universe with mythical creatures, not a bad combo.

Interesting story

I wondered what happened to Terry Walton. I wasn’t sure if he ended up In space with Bethany Anne and crew. Very honorable man finding his way approximately 20 years post world chaos. The narrator did a good job!

Entertaining

Pulp, but fun pulp. Good start to a series inside the KG universe. Honor and action can make a difference.
