Suspenseful second chance romance!

Nomad is a second chance, opposites attract romance. Willow and Nomad’s story is twisty and suspenseful with plenty of drama and will-they-won’t they moments to keep me glued to the story.

C.J. Bloom and Connor Crais do an excellent job narrating, but I have to say that Connor Crais really knocked it out of the park for me. He was the perfect Nomad and made getting lost in the story a treat!

Logan & Willow

I enjoyed this story. I haven't read any of the other books in the Scarred Hearts series. You don't need to in order to enjoy this one. I loved the suspense and fast-paced action though, so I added the others to my Wish List. I previously listened to one other S.M. West audiobk and was also action-packed and twisty, which I absolutely love! I chose this based on the narrators--Connor Crais and CJ Bloom -- who were perfect here! Great listening experience.

Opposites Attract Romance

Nomad by S.M West is a opposites attract romance that I listened to on audio narrated by C.J. Bloom and Connor Crais. This is the third book in the Scarred Hearts series and can be read as a standalone.

I loved the relationship that bloomed between Logan and Willow. Their relationship was a bit messy but you couldn't help but root for them. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

C.J. and Connor did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like opposites attract romances, second chance romances, contemporary romance, or romantic suspense.

Search for the Black Box

Logan and Willow have... quite the... adventure... to go with their reunion. The story kept me engaged all the way through and I really enjoyed it - including the steamy reunion that required much practice to get just right. 🔥❤💥🎉

I really like how Logan slowly realizes the error of his ways, especially how his pick-up-and-leave-without-telling-anyone might actually leave those who care about him hurt and lost. I also like how he begins to occasionally ask for help.

As for Willow, she has the patience of a saint, especially with Logan and her questionably responsible brothers. I would not have been so understanding. 🤔😄

I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrators are CJ Bloom and Connor Crais. I've enjoyed several books that each has brought sound to and I was very happy to have them in my ears. I like CJ a lot but Connor? I love his voice. It melts me like butter.

It didn’t work for me

Willow, nosy woman! Infuriatingly so and kinda vapid. Logan keeping secrets makes it worse and he has a it’s-all-my-fault complex. I absolutely hate that Logan took delight in her being jealous, because jealousy is the most useless of all the emotions there are, and that someone would take delight in that just…eww! This kind of book annoys me. Too busy, no chemistry between the MCs and that makes me question if I want to keep going with the rest of the books in this series but I bought them all on sale.

Cherry on top? Connor was stopped narrating mid-hot scene and while CJ picked it up from there, but even Queen CJ doesn’t beat my 1000% male POV for the hot parks imperative need. He makes up for it later.

Anyway, their narration was on point, but the story wasn’t.

A Wild & Thrilling Ride! Amazing Story & Listen🎧

This is an amazing romantic suspense, dark, edgy and action packed, takes you to the edge of your seat and has you wondering what is going to happen next. The story sweeps you right in, grabbing your attention and captivating it the entire time. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, except for the bad guys, they are easy to care about too. Logan, aka Nomad, left town to protect those he cared about, he has avoided calls from his most hated Uncle Clive, but he gets his attention in another way and it is not good. Clive is being released from prison and Logan has something he wants and he will do anything to get it, including hurting anyone he cares about. Logan has no choice but to go back and deal with him and his goons. But he had promised to his mother he would not let Clive get his hands on what he wants and that is his intention, but first he must retrieve it from its hiding spot. Willow was heartbroken when Logan just upped and left without a word why, he just ghosted her and despite her anger with him she has mixed feelings about seeing him again, though she was not exactly thrilled how and where he showed up again, knowing he was not expecting to see her again. But she gets her two cents in and grills him, he is not forthcoming at first but when he learns that he may have placed her in danger again, he sticks close to her. There are more things going on and it is possible that Clive is not the only threat to Willow and Logan. I loved how everything played out in this book, the story is cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, angst, mystery, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and a great second chance romance. Also loved when Kit was called and jumped in to help. S.M West, thank you for another exciting story and wild ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, C.J. Bloom and Connor Crais are the perfect cast to bring these characters and their story to life. They have a complete understanding of the characters they are portraying, give each a voice that fits the character’s persona to a tee, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound. I love how they take each role and make it their own, C.J. Bloom plays Willow’s role with perfection, strong & confident, Connor Crais does the same for Logan, lets you see both sides of him, his strength and his conflict. Both were great performing the roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into their performance and had you feeling every single one. These mega talented voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another amazing listen.

Wonderfully action packed story

This one took me on quite the journey! I was thrilled and surprised with what happens with the storyline. The characters are wonderfully written. I really enjoyed Willow as the perfect one for Nomad. The danger they find themselves in and as they tried to get out of..WOW! A lot of action, drama and suspense filtered throughout.

Overall this is a well written story that I enjoyed. I liked seeing the characters from the previous stories as they are a close nit group. I did listen to this on audio. Connor Crais and CJ Bloom did an outstanding job bringing these characters to life.

A Romantic Suspense!

This is the third book in the Scarred Hearts, an interconnected standalone novels Series by S.M. West. The cover is beautiful. Logan and Willow's story is suspenseful, filled with mystery, intrigue, and twists and turns This is an amazing addition to the series. C.J. Bloom and Connor Crais did an excellent job with the narration. I love this series, and I HIGHLY recommend it. I can't wait for Griffin's story!

Suspenseful

SM West kept me guessing what would happen next in Nomad’s story. The suspense, secrets, and familial disappointment kept me invested in what would happen between Logan and Willow. Logan’s protective instincts led him to make mistakes that could have been costly for both he and Willow. On the other hand, Willow’s trusting nature, nosiness and determination to insert herself in a situation that she was warned away from several times also placed them in grave danger. Thankfully, with the help of great friends and a well meaning admirer, they were able to get their happily ever after. CJ Bloom and Connor Crais did a fantastic job with narration. I look forward to more of this series.

Stand alone story with excellent narration

Nomad is a stand alone book in the Scarred Hearts series. You don't have to read the first two books to enjoy this one, but the characters from previous books do appear frequently in this one if you prefer to read in order. Like the last book in the series, this one also starts with main characters who use to be in a relationship. However, the separation was only a gap of 4 weeks so it was a little like picking up in the middle of a story. At times it felt like I missed something between books 2 and 3 that contained more of Logan & Willow's story, but it wasn't critical to the events of this book. Like the rest of the series, this book is fast-paced with a lot of action and suspense.

I listened to the audiobook, and Connor Crais and CJ Bloom did a great job with the narration. Like the other books in this series, the performances have been awesome and enhance the story. I would recommend listening to the audiobook.
