Publisher's summary
As an award-winning songwriter, Melody Mitchell has no time for distractions - and no time for romance. But when a sudden death in the family calls her back to the hometown she left behind, she’ll find herself questioning the many sacrifices she’s made on the path to success...especially when she learns she’s been named guardian of a newly orphaned infant.
Despite a fulfilling life, small-town pediatrician Dr. Brody Myers still can’t forget the girl who broke his heart so long ago. She's even harder to forget when a family emergency brings them face to face after more than a decade apart. It only takes a moment for him to realize that nothing has changed - especially not the promise he made to love Melody Mitchell for the rest of his days.
Will Melody put her life on hold for another chance at finding her happily ever after? Or is Brody destined to have his heart broken all over again? Fans of second chance romance will savor this sweet tale of unexpected motherhood and everlasting love.

Story
Obituary writer Nadine Barbault doesn’t mind being called “Lady Death”. It suits the ice queen persona she’s cultivated to survive the fast-paced Toronto Herald. So when Nadine learns that famous (and reclusive) author Dot Voline has died, she doesn’t hesitate to run the obituary…only to discover that Dot is very much alive. Nadine’s screw-up has brought Wesley Chen of the rival Spear no end of joy—she’s been a thorn in his extremely ambitious side for years. But the renewed interest in Dot also surfaced chatter about a mysterious past scandal.

Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. But I’ve never been meek and compliant.

Eight years ago I fell into a secret summer fling with my best friend’s little sister before our lives went in different directions. Now, I’m the grumpy to Juliet’s sunshine on a popular dating podcast we host, and when a wealthy fan gives us a charming coastal cottage as the biggest thank you ever, we head to the town where I grew up to give it a makeover. And find the house has only one bed. Located under a mirrored ceiling.

Beautiful Story with a Great Narrator. Loved this!
Oh My Goodness!!! I absolutely loved every moment of No Time for Lullabies, even the painful ones. This story was so unbelievable sad at times, but also so very healing. I found myself crying at multiple points throughout the book, either because of something heartbreaking or something so beautiful and perfect. I had read this book and fallen in love with the story and characters, but listening to it was a whole other experience. I found myself experiencing everything all over again but with much deeper emotions.
This is a beautiful story of second chances and hope and trusting that what is supposed to be, ultimately will be. Have faith and believe. Sydney Logan has such a gift for storytelling that brings about all the feels. The narrator for this book was so utterly perfect I can't even explain it. Her voice was soothing when it needed to be, and heartfelt and she was just an absolutely perfect Melody. No Time for Lullabies is up there as one of my favorites!!!

Perfect
So sweet. Sad undertones to this story for sure but, it packs a heck of a punch. Losing your way is always easier than finding your way back. Tragedy brings her back...back to everything she never thought she'd have and everything she never knew she needed.
This narrator was absolutely perfect for this story. Spot on and visual.

Melody and Brody!
After a life altering tragedy Melody left not only Meadow Creek but the man she loved as well. She went on to become a successful songwriter but another tragedy has brought her home. Her life is turned upside down when she finds herself the guardian of an infant.
Brody has never forgotten the only woman he has ever loved. Fate keeps throwing them together but if they are to have their second chance they first must work through the pain of their pasts.
This is a heartwarming story about love and family and learning to accept what life throws at you. I thought that the narrator was a perfect choice for this book did a great job of bringing the story to life

Precious story
I fell in love with this one. This is a first with this author and I loved it. The story had some sad moments but leaves with such joy and hope. I will definitely look into the others in the series. The love could be felt in every word. The narrator did an amazing job as well. I hope to hear more of their future in the rest of the series. Highly recommend. This is a clean romance.

Another Great Read by Sydney Logan
No Time for Lullabies (No Brides Club #2) was a great read by Sydney Logan. Melody left behind the only man she loved years ago and focused on her career as a song writer. Her cousin dies and she goes home to be with her family. She finds out that her cousin named her guardian of her cousin's daughter. She sees Brody again who is the man who's heart she broke. I loved reading Melody and Brody's story. I can't wait to read more by Sydney Logan.

Love this series!
Each book of the No Brides Club series has me hooked in the first chapter. I am loving these stories. This one by Sydney Logan features Melody and Brody, childhood sweethearts. When circumstances occur right out of high school, Melody takes off to find her new happiness and leaves Brody behind with a broken heart. Now she is returning upon the death of her cousin to take on a whole new responsibility. But what will happen when she sees Brody? Will the spark still be there? And will she return to New York to continue her dream? And is it still her dream? I love, love, love this! Brody is quite the man. I love how time has let him mature, finding his path but never really giving up on his forever girl. Melody is forced to face her demons, and start a new phase of life. I love how these two meld together and the ending just melts my heart. Can't wait for more.
Stephanie Willing is a wonderful narrator and I really enjoy her voice. She has an innocence that shines through and helps form her characters. Easily flowing from male to female voices, she lets us feel and understand how theses characters think. And the little suspense is built up too with her inflections. I loved her performance.
