I was in the 5th grade when I was toll to go to the library and pick a book of poems ,the one I pick was a book of Nikki Giovanni’s, I have loved her poetry from that day to this , She was among one of the best poets ,which I could name many more that I love to hear their poetry, but she will always be my favorite.

This book was a love letter to many parts of her life in poetry form. It felt so intimate and I greatly appreciated the times where she explained the origins of the poems. Hearing her own poems in her voice was surreal and really made the experience greater.
