Simply beautiful.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I'm not going to say much as I don't want to give away any spoilers. However, 'Nights in Rodanthe' was a sweet tale. Beautiful in its complexities, as well as in its simplicity. Mr. Sparks has a gift for telling truly relatable romance fiction that includes all ages. I appreciate how Mr. Sparks can craft a romantic story about people of all ages. Love does not end at 20 as some in Hollywood would have us believe with their quick, romantic comedy movies. As a professional screenwriter, I would be honored to work with Mr. Sparks on a romantic drama. I have seen all the books that have made it to film and have read every book, regardless if it made it to books and stayed there, or moved on to be a beautiful film.

Mr. Sparks you have a gift for the romantic genre and I hope you continue this journey. If, you should ever need a hand, or simply want some fresh blood to write a romantic drama with, I would be delighted and honored to be a support. There is a quiet strength to JoBeth Williams that only comes from owning your own hurt and growing with that hurt and turning it into something that makes her life thriving.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. And, I did. Twice.

This is a wonderful book

Of all the books I have read by Nicholas Sparks this is my favorite. All the characters are wonderful and are important to the story. The story of Paul and Adrian is remarkable for its depth and impact on Paul’s son and Adrian’s daughter. The book shows that when one is in the process of trying to understand themselves and are open what one person and in this case the deep and lasting love.

very nice but sad ending ..but rewarding for her that she helped Paul and his son to reunight and really got to know one another

Not a "happily ever after" book!

This struck me as a lovestory without much closure. Left me wanting more. Characters are well developed and it is well written, but this is not your typical "love story" where everyone lives happily ever after. Left me feeling sad. May be a little too close to "real life!"

The story was beautiful, made even better by the narrator JoBeth Williams. She was fantastic, and I hope she narrates more audiobooks!

Great Story

It always amazes me how different a movie can be from the book. almost like two similar but different stories. great book but wasn't impressed with the vocals.

I feel this is one of his more simple novels. The plot wasn't overly complicated. It was very character focused.
