Demons in Scotland

I am a huge fan of Mr. Artinian's zombie series, so I was excited to read this horror story. I was not disappointed!

Seb and Summer Richards, along with their twins Luna and Charlie, have moved to the Scottish island of Cora. Thinking they were leaving the crime and danger of the city, they soon discover that sometimes there are worst things out in the wild!

This book was fast paced and full of terror filled moments as the Richards family, along with the long-time residents of Cora, try to escape the horrors of being pursued by an entity that has terrorized the island for generations.

As usual, the author has created a great cast of characters and the family banter throughout the book really adds a lot to it. As you are reading, you feel like you know these people and can imagine having a chat with them sometime.

although I had previously read this book as an ebook, I jumped at the chance to listen to the audio version since it is narrated by my favorite female narrator, Kim Bretton! As usual, her performance, with the amazing number of different voices for each of the characters, really puts this book into another realm. She adds just the right amount of spookiness and tension to keep the fast pace going!

If you enjoy folklore filled with horrific creatures, along with a great story and wonderful characters, you will love this book! I hope that the author writes more books like this one!

Huge fan of Chris’s work for his ability to blend storytelling action and now even more Gore that I absolutely couldn’t get enough of
Kim always does a fantastic job with the narration and this was no exception

If small town creature horror is your thing add this to your list then deep dive Chris you won’t be disappointed 5stars

Another smash brought to life.

Since I’d already read the book, it was mildly less terrifying but still an exhilarating listen.
I almost felt like I was there during some of the scenes as chills rolled up my spine too.
Book review: “Still have chills from the prologue. The legend came to life in the most terrifying way.
Then true to form, the wit, charms, jokes and love happened. Then terrifying again…
Like so scary I ran away from a book… the comatose like state, the blatant gruesomeness was so much better on vacation in the middle of a sea than trying to read at home and waiting for the demons to jump out of the trees on a walk or eek! Well written as always, sounds like we shall get more of the terrible legends coming to life soon!”

Night of the Demons by Christopher Artinian was a perfect listen! I didn't want to go to bed, but stay up and listen to more of this book! The opening story really interested me. Then when it started with the adorable family, (I just assumed this was a second short story)I was so excited that they all are in this nightmare togethe. Perfect story to listen to a second time at Halloween. The narrative by Kim Bretton was spot on. I highly recommend this!

This storyline was quite intense. The character building was well done, but I would expect no less from this author. Kim did a wonderful job with the narration.

What a great story

Night of the Demons brings us on a terrifying ride into the mind of Christopher Artinian. Where he comes up with these wonderful stories, i can't even hazard a guess. A couple, with their children hope to get away from the hustle and bustle and crime of living in a city. They pick a nice little island with a charming village to start their new life. They got a little more than they bargained for when they discover their son is missing, They immediately start off looking for him, out in the dark rainy night. The whole island is in on a terrible secret though and this night will shine the light on all of them.

Kim is such an accomplished narrator. Her skills in voices are amazing and I could listen to her all day. And sometimes I do just that.

Unexpectedly awesome

Great interpersonal relationships and dialogue. Great story and narration. Looking forward to more from this author.

A Storm of Terror

I was very entertained by this first book in the "Scares in Scotland". A family moved to a remote Scottish Island hoping to build a perfect home. A family, an island, and a storm. These elements created a "perfect storm of terror". I enjoyed the family and their interactions. I was entertained by the dialogue between the husband and wife as I thought a lot of it was humorous. There were some eerie moments which kept me on the edge of my seat. Kim Bretton's narration was skilled and added a lot to the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review which included my opinions.

Amazing

Another great book by Artenian, of course, having Kim Bretton narrate makes it even better.
Sometimes the things in your nightmares are real. For this family they find out that is very true.
Think of all of the folklore of monster and creatures and then imagine one is real. This one has been hidden and its murders have been covered up for as long as people have lived on its island.

It would be really cool if there was information about scientists studying the creatures bodies and stuff using its numbing or coma inducing slime in modern medicine .
