Laughs and Magic
I've listened to all three of the Midnight Texas books now and this, by far, is my favorite. Charlaine Harris has a wonderful sense of humor and Susan Bennett does a fantastic job in translating this for your audio pleasure.
Without saying too much, Night Shift again focuses on the little town of Midnight and its eclectic and diverse residents. The town is again threatened. As dead bodies begin to pile up, will the residents, both magical and not, survive?
My favorite character, Mr Snuggly the Cat, has more of a presence and I cannot get enough of hearing from him.
If you haven't read or listened to the two previous books, get in it! If you haven't read any of her other series, get on it as well. Fantastic work.

awesome..loved it!!!
this was a breath of fresh air. I love Sookie and miss the supernatural world she lived it. plus loved the way it tied in with them.

Susan Bennett just amazing!!
I've been a Charlaine Harris reader for some time and have read almost all her books. This one wasn't my favorite, but I adored how Susan read this book - especially Mr Snuggles!

An almost perfect book and series
I truly love this book. I have read and listened to this series many times. I just finished it and would like to start it over again. Even better, I wish Ms. Harris would write more books about Midnight and its occupants. I sincerely like all of the characters and feel great affection for most! The narrator brings to life the town and its inhabitants in a believable and engaging manner. No author writes a cats personality the way they truly are but Mr. Snuggly gives some much appreciated levity. Here's hoping for more adventures in Midnight!
