Publisher's summary
The most malevolent, bloodthirsty beast Kanatan’s village had ever seen has marked his family for destruction.
To make matters worse, its attack sends his once-unified community freefalling into a fractured landscape of suspicion and betrayal. With each grisly kill, the secrets of Kanatan's family unravel, and the burden falls upon him to rid his village and the surrounding Night Forest of the terror stalking its woods. When failure means a violent death and an end to his tribe’s way of life, he has no choice but to grow up early, face fear itself right in its glowing yellow eyes, and reconnect with an ancient source of wisdom and power that he had only known through vain praise and empty words.
Fans of horror and fantasy will enjoy this compelling novel set in a fantastical Native American setting.
All fear to enter Night Forest, and for good reason… Do you dare enter?

Story
Springerville is famous for the legend of the Mongolian Monster. Of course nobody really believes it. It’s just a good campfire story, something to attract gullible tourists until an excavation team unearths the figurine of a screaming woman, the jawbone of a deformed animal, and a child’s toy. How odd that they were buried together. Odd, too, is the foul odor lingering in the air, the strange noises at night, and the man’s face found hanging from a tree. Now the locals are locking their doors. Because after sundown, campfire stories can seem very, very real.

Amazing book
Every once in a while, you read a book and wonder if it’s going to takeoff and become a classic I think this is one of those books that could become a classic, especially if there’s more to the series I like the way he left the older brother to deal with later possibly in the next book. If you need all the loosen tied up by the end of the book, this may not be the book for you, but I am looking for sequel. He did a great job of creating a big world with lots of depth. and then got you very intimately involved with one little corner of that world
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
