About this listen

There’s always a new threat.

A year after the Event, horrific memories of the vessels linger in Dean’s mind as he tries to find his way forward in his new life. But now the heroes of Earth face a new threat that endangers the fragile remnant of humanity.

Two rebel hybrids have escaped from their segregated encampment. Dean and his team pursue them across the galaxy, racing to catch them before they reach an unseen enemy. This new threat is looming over Earth, their name spoken softly and fearfully by anyone who knows of them.

When a line is drawn, on whose side will Dean stand?

2nd book is as good as the first and Luke Daniels narrates it too!
First, if a narrator is no good...you can't really enjoy listening to a book. Thankfully, Luke is a fantastic narrator and the characters come to life and it's like listening to theater! He sounds a lot like Nathan Dillon.
Dean continues to be our hero and I'm not giving away spoilers. You should definitely read the books in order or the characters lose their relevance to the story. Its also clean. No cussing, no explicit sexual content either, just a good sci fi story that keeps getting better. It holds your interest with its plots and ..things you didn't see coming!

Holds your interest with twists!

good world building. I like that the either still managed to make some things unpredictable. some of the character interactions feel a little shallow. and overall still an entertaining read.

Decent and entertaining

I am enjoying the storyline. It’s still keeping my attention as I get more familiar with the main characters. Easy reading. Luke Daniels USA An amazing narrator and we ca feel the characters emotions through his voice. I love sci-fi and this story is taking far away in space and time. Love it. Reading book 3 now

Still a great story

Wonderfully fleshes out our Heroes of Earth even more. And those twists, whoa. Yes, indeed.

A good second installment

Great story and a perfect narrator. Really getting into this series. Now the author has thrown a bit of time travel into it. Awesome!

Great

The ending was a non-ending! Books in a series,I think, should leave you in a place one could take a break if for one reason or another you want a break. I'm still finding it was a good story line. Onward to book #3.

Kaye

Excellent story. I liked #1 better, but not bad story.

Wow but I really want to throttle Dean for being such a gullible itot. Things were bad when he left and things are worse now. It did not take long for dumbass politicians to regain a foothold and doom the planet. Overall I look forward to book 3.

A good book
