Push through
I probably had to re-listen to the first 2-3 chapters about 15 times. I had a lot going on at the time but regardless it was worth pushing through. The story got SO good.
Some of the reasonings for the characters thinking what they thought were weak but easy to look past because overall entertainment was achieved.
I also wanted to listen to Stacy Abrams books and this was a great start. Will definitely listen to more from ‘Selena Montgomery’

Great story but
This was a wonderfully intellectually based story. However, I wish they had expanded on that and not so much the adolescent romantic angst. l enjoy a steamy romatic element, but this overwhelmed the mystery a bit. All in all, a very enjoyable read.

Enjoyable!
Quite enjoyable whodunnit. Ms. LaVoy has a tendency to over-emphasize her narration and Ms. Abrams can be a bit melodramatic with her prose. Still an pleasurable escape without a lot of brain drain. Looking forward to my next Abrams novel. This sister is gifted in so many areas!

Lots of drama & suspense
The protagonist seemed to have every possible trauma including a gruesome serial killer. Ultimately in discovering the ruthless villain she finds love- I guess. The tricks and turns had me guessing and wondering even after I finished the book.

Would've enjoyed more story.
I really enjoyed the beautiful descriptions and I really enjoyed the story. However I almost feel like this could have been made into a three-part book series, developing on the characters a bit more. I just don't even remember Jessica that well and was a bit disappointed in the end. I would have loved to see the first book with her and Nathan. second book all about the crimes developing a love story. third book developing a little bit more character build on Jessica and the love story. overall I enjoyed the book and the description were wonderful.
