As evidenced in current events, June 2018, Depression can be fatal. This book performed by the author will make you say "WHO KNEW"!!!!

Great story, didn't need the colorful language though. Loved hearing her story. Learned alot to help.

A Great read! I can SO IDENTIFY W HER!!

Listening to Ginger read was like hearing from an old friend! I could almost "see" her smiling and frowning as she spoke her truths....She made me feel so much like I WASNT batsh*t crazy...that I too was a natural disaster minus the meteorological background....That I wasn't the only person w a "D*ckhead" in the family....and other miscellaneous "terms of endearment" (You'll DEFINITELY LAUGH with this book)
She gave me validation and hope that life will get better...that I am worthy of love and good things life has in store for me....and most of all---having a mental health diagnosis IS NOT A DEATH SENTENCE!

Great Book

When I first started listening I thought I had the speed set faster than normal. Then I realized that was just the way she spoke. So I settled into the book and really enjoyed it. Ginger Zee is a natural storyteller. She goes from the personal to meteorology in the blink of an eye. But it’s always engaging. I really enjoyed her story.

Powerful

I have adored Ginger since she came to GMA, I have loved watching her grow to become the person she is on my morning television. Hearing her story about her troubled past and how she didn't let it define her is inspirational. I adore her even more now and cannot wait to hear more from her.

Highly recommend!!!

I really loved this book. I believe it came in my life at the perfect time. This "natural disaster" is working on similar situations.

"You Are Worth It"

I've been watching Ginger since she first worked in Chicago. This is a very honest look at herself. She shares all the "behind the scenes" of her career and most importantly, she shares intimate details of her life. A life dealing with depression, an eating disorder, attempted suicide, dysfunctional relationship after dysfunctional relationship, and how she finally got the real help she needed to become the grown up, strong woman she is today.
She encouraged anyone suffering from depression to get help because "you are worth it." Sometimes it takes going through many therapists before finding the right one.
I liked her story. There are some R-rated words that she could have left out, in my opinion, or even toned them down a bit. I don't think it would have taken away from the drama of the situation in which they were used (said by another person).
That said, I think anyone who is a fan of hers will enjoy listening to this book.

Outstanding in Both Ways

Ginger Zee has written an amazing book that allows you to pull back the curtain and see how her life has truly been. It's not just what one assumes from TV.

It is read by Ginger with sincere storytelling. She should add reading for Audible, for those who don't read their own books to her busy schedule. I wish I could listen to Ginger read more books.

You'll be missing out if you don't hear this book!!

Brave, candid & delightful

It feels as if Ginger is sitting on the sofa candidly sharing some of the most challenging times of her life with the listener. Her strength comes from her vulnerability. She is courageous and infectious and has a great deal to teach others about relationships, career choices and most importantly self-love. An inspiration to so many!
