Thrive on what nature provides

As a society, we are so accustomed to modern natural medicine being used for everything in our lives. Take a step back and you can see a bounty of natural items that can help us just as good and often times much better. This book highlights the natural remedies and cures used by the people who were doing so before most of our ancestors arrived in this new world.

So Many Things I Never Knew!

This is a fantastic source of information, and I was particularly pleased that some of the various plants mentioned grow right here in the region where I live! I particularly enjoyed the parts about sweet grass and black cohash, and the healing effects they have, and the nutrients contained there-in. The narrator had a relaxing voice that actually gave me a feel-good aura throughout the listen.

Loved it!

I feel super enlightened after listening to 'Native American Herbalism'! The depth of information (the detailed profiles of medicinal plants and insightful discussions on cultural practices among other things) was impressive. As someone who's always been interested in herbal remedies and their traditional roots, this audiobook was a treasure trove of knowledge. The sections on sustainable practices and the importance of respecting nature really added a meaningful perspective. Highly recommended for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of herbalism and its cultural significance. Not to mention, the narrator's voice was super warm and beautifully conveyed the message of the book. At times I literally felt like I was sitting by a campfire learning from a wise elder lol.

The return to the roots

History has taught us that a return to primary sources has a positive effect as the gap usually widens with a passage of time. In this piece, Alfie explains not just the importance of Native American herbalism but how one can use these herbs to improve their own lives as resources naturally available to us.
I see the benefits of these in many ways. Learn them and appreciate humble beginnings.

This audiobook covers much more than expected and I've already been collective plant medicines from a nearby forest. I'm going on a retreat and will be bringing this as my secret weapon! excited to dive into creation mode!
