About this listen
A Nameless Hunchback must Stop the Army of the Dead
Can he Save the Innocent People of his City?
It's Harry Potter Meets Michael Crichton's Eaters of the Dead
The 1800's city of Geneva is plagued by Darklings, cloaked figures who kidnap and murder it's impoverished residents during the night.
While the rich hide safely behind their high stone walls the poor are forced to patrol their own borders to ward off the evil foes. When a nameless, deformed indentured servant comes of age he is commanded by law into the night to protect the city, he becomes an unlikely hero that saves the mayor's daughter from a Darkling attack.
But the nameless boy realizes there is more to the Darklings than the city's residents have been told. Joined by the mayor's daughter and his only friend, another local boy he investigates the cause of the attacks. What they uncover is far blacker than the cloaks of the Darklings...
Critic reviews
"The twists and turns of the plot kept the story moving at a steady pace. While primarily a young adult novel, this book ventures into the realms of Stephen King-esque gore and Gothic horror. Comeau skillfully leads the narrative to a climactic unraveling of the mystery behind the Darklings’ reign of terror. The finale is brilliantly executed, leaving an indelible mark in the realm of young adult fiction with its ingenious and mind-bending resolution. Nameless vs. The Army of the Dead is not just a thrilling read but an exploration of courage, camaraderie, and the fight against overwhelming darkness."—Committee for the Literary Titan Book Award.
"Very Fascinating! I am very glad I read it! The story was remarkable, kept me absorbed all throughout—5 out of 5"—Cheryl of Cheryl Reviews

And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Great engaging read
Nameless is an exciting plot twisting read that keeps you interested and engaged every step of the way. I don't want to give anything away, but it's kind of a Harry Potter Zombie mix. Highly recommend!

Army
As I was hearing this audiobook, the story and voice of the narrator is so perfect that it sounded to me like it is a real movie. I love adventure stories. Wow, how fun it is when Harry Potter Meets Michael Crichton's Eaters of the Dead. I can imagine myself if I were in the story, hearing the sound of the glass, the sound of a different character sounds awesome. I like this audiobook, and I would recommend it to my kids. It is a long story, but it's worth hearing it.

A Thrilling Start to an Epic Saga
This book is an exciting beginning to what promises to be an epic saga. The fast-paced and action-filled story keeps me hooked from the first page. The protagonist, though mysterious, quickly becomes relatable and compelling, making me eager to learn more about their past and future. The battle scenes are well-crafted, and the world-building is immersive, pulling you into a richly detailed universe. If you enjoy fantasy adventures with a mix of mystery and intense action, this book is a great choice. Can't wait to see where the next installment takes us!

Excellent Audiobook!
"Nameless vs the Army of the Dead" offers a gripping tale of courage, mystery, and the fight against darkness in a city plagued by the sinister presence of the Army of the Dead. The narrative thrusts readers into the heart of 1800s Geneva, a city divided between the privileged and the oppressed, where the impoverished are terrorized by enigmatic figures known as Darklings.
This is a captivating blend of fantasy and historical fiction, offering a fresh take on familiar themes. With its atmospheric setting, intriguing plot twists, and moments of genuine suspense. While it may stumble in places, its strengths far outweigh its weaknesses, making it a worthwhile read for anyone seeking an immersive and thrilling adventure.

Very Cool Story Set in a Dark World
I am a huge fan of this genre, so of course I loved this story! I found the story to be very inspirational and heroic. What I found fascinating about the performance, was the production of the sounds that were blended with the narration such as music, crowd noise, shoes running, and stones being kicked. It really brought the story to life and helped me envision the scenes in my head in a delightful way. As a bonus, the author provides an excerpt from Book 2 which is called Nameless Vs the Wolf Men of Moonlight Bay. I am very much looking forward to that book as I have even a bigger fan of anything that has to do with Wolf men or Werewolves.

Journey from obscurity to savior
The narrative's strength lies not just in its thrilling plot or its atmospheric setting, but in its heartfelt portrayal of an outcast's struggle to find his place in the world. The nameless hunchback's journey from obscurity to becoming the city's unlikely savior is a testament to the power of resilience and the human capacity for heroism in the face of insurmountable odds.
