Story
Freemasonry, though not a religion, is essentially religious. Most of its legends and allegories are of a sacred nature; much of it is woven into the structure of Christianity. We have learned to consider our own religion as the only inspired one, and this probably accounts for much of the misunderstanding in the world today concerning the place occupied by Freemasonry in the spiritual ethics of our race. A religion is a divinely inspired code of morals. A religious person is one inspired to nobler living by this code. He is identified by the code, which is his source of illumination.

Story
Melchizedek and the Mystery of Fire is a short work by mystic and occultist Manly P. Hall. It explores the symbolism of ancient rituals in Christianity, and their sources in earlier religions and cultural traditions. Incorporating ritual and legend from great ancient civilizations as varied as India, China, Mexico, and Japan, Hall demonstrates that the truth of humanity is rooted in similar stories across these cultures, and has continued into Biblical allegory. It also explains the human body's "occult anatomy", giving meaning and symbolism to our very organs and glands.

Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

enjoyable but skimpy on I formation
I enjoyed this but it was too short and didn't give enough information. I had hoped for more.

Manly P Hall does a great job explaining the mystery of Christ and the mystery of the Holy Grail. Revealing its esoteric qualities. To the mason or templar this information can be provide light to their craft.

short and sweet
if you have read or listened to any of manly p halls works then this is a good purchase, if you haven't then you may not know what your in for and I suggest doing some research. as for the quality of the work itself, it is well read and the fact that it is written by manly p hall says enough for it.

This is a half truth story.
This is a twisting to the destruction of the stories preserved in the holy Scriptures.

Nothing new about Jesus
This was 30 minute exercise that managed to tell us who are not Fundamentalist Christians what is widely know. Specifically that the Gospels have inconsistencies among them, that the life of the historic Jesus cannot be inferred from them, that he was influenced by Eastern Philosophy, perhaps through the Essen sect of Judaism, and that the gospel authors relied on pagan mythology to create a symbol of Christo, Messiah, King Arthur, Archetypal story. He never ties this in with Christian Mystics, who are in no way represent a unified theosophy.

twisting of information
there is a lot of references to other writings that had nothing to do with the life of Jesus. Never once did they refer back to the Old Testament that I remember. also reference things that happened hundreds of years after Jesus Life 2 implicate Jesus was not the son of God and his teachings were pagan. I think this book was motivational to dispute Christianity.
