About this listen

The Garretts are everything the Reeds are not: loud, numerous, messy, affectionate. And every day from her balcony perch, 17-year-old Samantha Reed wishes she was one of them...until one summer evening, Jase Garrett climbs her terrace and changes everything. As the two fall fiercely in love, Jase's family makes Samantha one of their own. Then in an instant, the bottom drops out of her world and she is suddenly faced with an impossible decision. Which perfect family will save her? Or is it time she saved herself?

I absolutely loved this book! My only critique was it ended! I would love to read more about Jase and Sam, and the whole Garrett family. There are so many stories left to be told with this family.

Loved it!!

What did you love best about My Life Next Door?

I loved her showing how fun and different big families are.

What was one of the most memorable moments of My Life Next Door?

Again, it would be describing how big families work. LOVED IT! This book was very enjoyable. I loved how Samantha said how she would sit and watch this family.

Which scene was your favorite?

The begining when Samantha's Mom was telling her how annoying "those" new neighbors would be with all those bikes and toys and how they would rarely mow the lawn.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I just really enjoyed this book! There were parts I was really laughing out loud. Some parts I was not ok with. How nonchalant the parents were with him taking her to his bedroom with all the younger siblings around.

Any additional comments?

I did have a problem with a couple a chapters repeating the begining of the chapter at the end. I thought I was going to have to return it. I really wanted to hear the book though. But it was very confusing. I still don't know if I missed anything?

Fun Book

Such a great story for any age. Loved these characters. Didn't want the book to end. Loved George and all the chaos next door.

Perfect.

I really liked the love story between Sam and Jase. It had all the tenderness you'd expect from a first love, with a little drama thrown in. You will love the Garrett family, especially George. ❤

Sweet story

The unfolding tale of a fortunate young lady who knows right from wrong. She is not spoiled, but aware. It was a pleasure to share her experiences.

Great story: well developed

What a great book! Samantha and Jase were absolutely adorable, good, hardworking, very mature 17 year olds. The Garrett brood were so cute and hilarious particularly little George. This story will teach you the importance of family, friendship, love, and doing the right thing. Being truthful even if it means to lose what you love and that some people are willing to stick by you no matter what. I would have given this 5 stars but I felt the end was somewhat abrupt. I hope there is a sequel to see how things turn out for Samantha and Jase, the Senator, the Garrett's and all the rest of the clan.

Very Sweet

This was the slowest paced book I think I've ever listened to. I was struggling until about chapter 30 when things finally picked up and it got interesting. The dialogue was narrated well, but the rest of the text was read off like a robot. It sounded like my Alexa was reading to me through most of it. It was a good story, but not my cup of tea.

Really slow book

This shit right here is so good I remember reading it in high school and it’s the same feeling I still get I like how the main character is privileged but she’s not always like woe is me my life is such shit. It’s dramatic and cheesy in a good way 11/10
