Need that recipe!

This small town has had it's share of murders, and this one brings out all the usual suspects! Sabrina and David are once again immersed in interrogation, crazy alibis and the best vanilla cake in Treasure Cove! I love these books, and when I saw that Jim Hartley, the owner of the mattress emporium was the victim this time, I couldn't wait to see who would be the killer. With her intuitive style, Sabrina goes off, checking on business acquaintances, ex-girlfriends, and any one else that may have had a problem with this very nice, very easy going man. And don't forget the cameo by their daughter Jessica! Always fun to catch up with the community of Treasure Cove, though it would nice to go just to have dessert and not have a murder! This poor town! Narrated by Carrie Burgess, she continues to bring this fun, cozy series to life with her lively performances.

Murder and Vanilla Cake

Murder and Vanilla Cake by Meredith Potts is a great addition to the Treasure Cove stories. I love how the author has so many viable suspects. The storyline is fast moving and kept me engaged. Its great that I didn't have Jim's killer pegged. Carrie Burgess was great bringing the characters to life. She is the voice of Sabrina and David to me. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

Not a bad introduction to the series.

Not a bad introduction to Treasure Cove, Sabrina, and Detective David. It's a short mystery - a plus for cozy mysteries in my opinion - and the victim has an interesting job (mattress salesman) which makes it just a little more fun.

Carrie Burgess did a great job narrating. I liked her characterizations.
