Excellent Series

I am surprised that I like the 3 books I have read. No sex, No real bloody descriptions...each plot is different. I read/listen to 3-5 books a week. Sometimes I like romantic fiction, sometimes I like erotic fiction, sometimes I like 1000 page books that trace many generations and sometimes I like a little supernatural. What I don't like is poor character development and weak plots that go on and on and say very little. Geoffrey and Prudence are supposed to be detective (inquiry agents). He is ex-Pinkerton and she is an independently wealthy young woman whose father was a judge and he raised her in the law. In my opinion she is a walking disaster. She rarely consults her partner, bungles situations, and has much trouble holding onto her derringer. There is no sex but there is tension. Only time will tell if he ever gets the courage to ask her to marry him. I do hope the author makes her into a more worth investigator because she lands in trouble often and her partner constantly rescues her. I like the series so much I am buying the earlier ones to see how the story starts.

It's time!

I have listened to the entire series and love the books. The characters have become more defined, and their personalities have clarified with each book. BUT IT'S TIME! Stop playing around and let the attraction between Jeffrey and Prudence come to fruition. I truly hope that the next book will at the very least see them engaged if not married.
