I''m on chapter 3 and I am frustrated. The person reading this/narrating this book, makes it almost impossible to understand this book. His words sound slurred some times, and his lowers his voice at the ends of sentences so the words are hard to hear. I wish there was a different option to hear this book narrated by someone else.

The narrator is really hard to understand.

Gruff old unidentified man narrating with annoying piano music in the background. Not easy or pleasant to listen to.

Wrong narrator

There is unnecessary music constantly playing in the background, the sound quality of the recording is poor, and the cadence of the reading is odd, like it was the first time the reader ever read aloud. It was all very distracting and I found it unlistenable.

Bad Audio

the pauses in the narration are very odd, it's reminiscent of being in elementary school and listening to kids reading it out loud. it bugged me too much to continue.

I only got a few minutes in.

Couldn't listen to one minute. Horrible performance with mid-sentence stops and a strange way of reading. To make it even worse, there is background music that is actually foreground because it competes with the narrator -if I may call him so- for one's ears.

Worst performance I've come across on Audible

The recording sounds like it was done in a phone booth. It was painful to try to listen.

I downloaded the one that was narrated by Annette Bening and it was superb.

This is a terrible recording
