Would you listen to Mommy IQ again? Why?

Yes! I do not have children nor am i pregnant. I just heard from a friend it was a education and funny read! and I agreeded

What other book might you compare Mommy IQ to and why?

I would compare this book to The pregnancy book Jenny Mcarthy wrote. Both are very funny.

Which scene was your favorite?

When she gave herself a concussion off the baby stroller!

Very Funny !

Would you try another book from Rosie Pope and/or the narrators?

I could not stand listening to this book. I did not like how it was written and how it was narrated. Didn't even finish the book. I learned nothing new from this book that I was not told by my girlfriends who have been through it.

Not the kind of mommy book for me

Any additional comments?

I liked this book. It had some good information. The breakdown was kind of jumbled...i think it would probably make more sense to read the hard copy as i felt like there were a lot of footnotes and charts that had to be explained. The narrator was kind of annoying as well, but I started to warm up to her as the book went on.

Easy listen for expectant mothers

Any additional comments?

Throughout, the author assumes that you have a husband or boyfriend. Every now and then she drops in that you may be single and occasionally uses the word "partner" but still refers to the partner as a man. However, these instances are few and far between and don't make up for the fact that a large part of the narrative includes how you and your man interact. I guess I expected fewer traditional assumptions from a book published in 2012. It would have been helpful to know that this was a focus of the book before buying it.

Not for "non-traditional" expectant mothers

The narrator was hard to get past. I had difficulty taking her seriously as an expert because of how she sounded.

Furthermore, even though she had a doctor interject every so often, she had very little facts to back up her opinions especially concerning pregnancy dos and don'ts.

This book is the typical pregnancy book that makes you feel guilty about everything without reason. Ideas in this book made me feel guilty when I miscarried- like I had done something to cause it.

I recommend Expecting Better by Emily Oster. She's much more concise and has actual facts and real statistics to back up her arguments.

Terrible narrator, not much fact

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Very young moms or moms interested in the fashion-focused, sugar-coated version of things.

What do you think your next listen will be?

A pregnancy book authored by doctors.

How could the performance have been better?

I don't think it could have been improved for me - her voice makes her sound like a 15 year old girl.

Redundant, too cute, and not terribly informative
