Unique, Funny, and Entertaining

I loved the humor and the odd perspective this story had. I'm not sure how to praise it without giving any spoilers, but it definitely scratched an itch for a humorous fantasy novel and was expertly narrated.

I love the" fresh" perspective of this book!

The narration gets better

I listened to both DEDA files books first and loved them. This being his first book, I believe, Yahtzee definitely gets much better at narration which helps the whole experience.

Hilarious Satire and Rather Deep

Croshaw’s debut novel is a hilarious romp that is as dark and cynical as it is deep and philosophical.

Go ahead & mess with Jim

Unique, different, funny and enjoyable. I liked the main character's sacasm. The reader was spot on.

Clever and entertaining

I enjoyed the premise of the story, and despite being one that seemed familiar, it stil managed to surprise me with shine of the twists.

The main character is oddly relatable, and in fact I'd say that to those who think the rule about making characters relatable doesn't make sense in fantasy, here's a prime example of how to do that. In one of the most ridiculously unrelatable scenarios a character could ever possibly find themselves in, Jim manages to be more relatable than most story protagonists.

I had read Yahtzee's Will Save The Galaxy books before I found this one, and his characterizations are great here just like in those. I do love it when an author has the guts to narrate their own audiobooks, as no one really knows those characters as deeply as they do.

Really Good

I have listened to Mogworld 4 times and continue to enjoy it every time. Mogwold and Jam could really use a re-recording the sound quality is a bit off,that is why I gave it a four star overall rating. Fantasy/SciFi do your self a favor and Croshaw works a listen I don’t think you will regret it and you may find a new story to love,

Loved it

Really enjoyed this book and love this style of narration. I couldn’t put it down.

Wonderfully witty story, lessened only slightly by amateur voice acting

I love Ben “Yahtzee” Croshaw’s quintessentially British style. Imagine Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams wrote the lore for World of Warcraft and you’ve got the idea!

Some of Yahtzee’s voice acting is a little lacking and the overall production and editing could use some work, but I loved every minute and immediately started listening again after I finished.

It’s a surprisingly deep, dark, and funny story that will appeal to anyone passingly familiar with fantasy video games and RPGs, but might not be as impactful to someone unfamiliar with the concepts. Overall, 9/10!
