About this listen
Meet Michael Shea Miller between the ages of eight to eighteen. Every day presented different challenges he had to overcome. From breaking his two front teeth rollerblading to his friend's house, to getting hit by a construction sign while body surfing in San Diego. He had to learn how to turn the frown upside down and smile that frown away. This is why he has decided to make a series of chapter books illustrating his "many mishaps" one decade at a time.

Story
The kingdom of Cornucopia was once the happiest in the world. It had plenty of gold, a king with the finest moustache you could possibly imagine, and butchers, bakers, and cheesemongers whose exquisite foods made a person dance with delight when they ate them. Everything was perfect - except for the misty Marshlands to the north, which, according to legend, were home to the monstrous Ickabog. Anyone sensible knew that the Ickabog was just a myth to scare children into behaving. But the funny thing about myths is that sometimes they take on a life of their own.

Hilarious Childhood Tales and Mishaps
I was captivated by this hilarious recounting of real-life misadventures. The author's childhood stories are amusing but also relatable and endearing. Each mishap is narrated with such vivid detail and humor that I found myself laughing out loud and reminiscing about my childhood escapades. This book is delightful and brings joy and nostalgia in equal measure.

So funny
This book is hilarious, kept laughing, giggling all the way to home today. Very well narrated, and stories are too funny. Sometimes I think many things illustrated here can happen with anyone, but its just the way it is narrated and carved into story is just amazing. Loved the fun, loved the book. Great writing..
