About this listen

Interpreting people by understanding the verbal and non-verbal cues they give us can provide something beyond a superficial reading of their behavior. Adding psychology to a sociological analysis of human behavior provides a broader, deeper pool of information, especially when seen through the lens of communication. When we're able to interpret people where they stand, it's possible to exploit the information they freely offer and steer them toward our desired outcome.

While manipulation may have a bad name, it's not always a bad thing. Sometimes being able to manipulate people can lead to desirable outcomes for all involved. The trick is to know how to achieve this effect without those you're manipulating catching on.

In this book you will learn:

  • How the term manipulation can be deciphered
  • What leads people to manipulate others into doing things a certain way
  • How to manipulate in the real sense of the term using body language and communication
  • The role of verbal and non-verbal communication in manipulation
  • Improve communication skills to improve your manipulation skills
  • Neuro Linguistic Programming and its role in manipulation
  • NLP to master the art of manipulation
  • How to be tactical in order to secure a win
  • Common mistakes to avoid
  • The psychology of influence and manipulation
  • Applying social manipulation<

I found this publication helpful and reinforcing of my views and beliefs of personal interaction.

Nothing special - waste of money and time

Couldn't recognize the intended structure - the overall storyline/ intention. It's a collection of pieces.
The pronunciation and rhythm does not support active listening.

Don't waste your time on this book.

The information contained in this book is vaguely described, something that could have been easily obtained from Googling it.

Narrators voice was difficult to understand at times and somewhat very annoying.

Terrible Narration

This narration makes the book nearly impossible to understand. Despite the fact that the book probably has good information, it is extremely difficult to follow due to the absolutely horrible narration. I recommend purchasing the kindle or paper version rather than the audible version.

Socio-psychological Interactions

This book is everything it says it is on the cover. The material and system it describes is quite extensive, detailed and accurate. However, if you are looking for a "How To Do It" book on the subject this is not that book. The material and system it describes was explained systematically and clearly. Although I did not read anything that I was not already aware of or know, I found it to be well written and interesting. Seeing all the socio-psychological pieces put together so effortlessly was fascinating in and of itself. That the authors were able to construct such a well written, smooth read of the many pieces that make up the system they describe deserves an appropriate level of reader recognition. Again the narrator was superb in his delivery of the material, some of which I believe was contributed by the good writing of the authors.

Terrible

Vague brushed over statements with terrible narrative voice. No direct info and everything is repeated.

Miss leading title.

Basic info on communication with others. Still, a few good nuggets. Just a very elementary read.

Will edit once complete, but very difficult to listen to

This book feels archaic. I hope that the reader sounds archaic and doesn’t articulate well causing the book to sound muddled and dissed jointed due to inflection upon the wrong areas. And example of how this feels archaic is where they talk about a firm handshake. This is something I heard about along time ago, but no longer reads the way the author believes that it reads.Awesome people give a firm handshake, but it ends up being crashing. Doing this leads to people thinking that that individual is overbearing, a jerk, and someone that you can’t trust.

Pure fluff

This is just a bunch of fluff. This could’ve easily been a pamphlet. I don’t recommend it.
