Mama Jane was a hero! A rock of faith and tenacity, of hope and love, and Chad Norris’ paternal grandmother. She spent her life modeling Christ, loving God and others, and four generations of her family have been eternally impacted because of it. It’s here that we uncover a great secret - that Jesus came to reconnect us to Father, to restore relationship with his children.
Building deep friendship with God starts with shifting our perceptions of who God says he is and who he says we are - the journey of sonship. For too long those of us who call ourselves Christians have grown numb to the truth that we are heirs to an eternal Kingdom. It is time to awaken and build a friendship with the one who has loved us since before we were ever born.
It is time to truly know our Father, the King. He’s awakening his children to something extraordinary, something that’s been there waiting for us all along. He’s ready for us to accept our inheritance, to choose love over fear, to live without offense or excuses, to walk in the identity of son and daughter. He is ready to unleash all the blessings of heaven in our lives. But he is waiting on us.

"Untangling the tackle box"Any additional comments?
I thank the Father that Chad wrote this book. His vulnerability and honesty resonates with how most people feel about themselves. It gives you insight of who the Father is and how much he cares and loves us.Meat and Potatoes of understanding the Father

The Lord brought me to Chad’s teachings a few weeks ago and it was truly during the most perfect season of my life to discover them. These are the kinds of revelations I’ve been longing to hear for a while and they resonate deeply with me.
If you are looking to connect with our beautiful Creator in a deeply intimate way, you’ve found a great guidebook for that.
It’s definitely a listen that I will be revisiting.

If you could sum up Mama Jane's Secret: Walking In Deep Friendship with God in three words, what would they be?
Chocolate covered RazorbladeWhat was one of the most memorable moments of Mama Jane's Secret: Walking In Deep Friendship with God?
The call to ascend the Mountain of God, both the invitation to live on the summit but also the challenge of the training and rigors required to achieve the feat. What does Chad Norris bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
There's nothing like hearing a book read by the author themselves. It brings a whole other layer of depth to the narrative.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
There were numerous times in the book that I was overwhelmed both by the narrative and by the presence of Holy Spirit. An excellent read.Any additional comments?
I remember the years I spent sat on the flat roof of my boarding school in India in the early 90's wrestling with God. How he could feel so close at times, and yet at others, so far. What I hadn't grasped in those formative years was that Father really really did Love me! He actually wanted to be close to me; I just regularly postured myself in positions set apart from him. In 'Mama Jane's Secret', in my opinion, Chad does an incredible job at reminding the reader that we were intended to be part of a Kingdom Family, that we Belong and that we have a heavenly Father that we can actually be close friends with; and then he goes beyond the possible to lay out some ways we can step in to this in reality. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD? A LIFE CHANGING READ!!!

I would love to see him really dig in on thankfulness and dealing with your bitterness, or other drawbacks, trusting God with them, in a another full book.
The last part of this book really teaches

I bought this audible version as soon as I saw it was available.
This book can be read slowly, moderately, or you could devour this book. I think this is a book I'm going to reread and relisten to many more times.
In this audible version, I kid you not, Chad Norris reads fast. However, the man speaks fast. It is as if Mr. Norris can't wait to tell you the reader what God has given him for you. Often on Sunday's he announces to the congregation that the Lord told him to slow down. I only mention this because his fast speech could be considered distracting. Please don't place your focus on that point.
I loved all the stories, the real life, and the inner thought workings. I believe that these points remind us all that Mr. Norris and ourselves are human. We have flesh on, we live and breath. Meaning this, we are not perfect but God will use us and take us Higher if we let him.
Two points I loved the most (currently) in this book.
First, which is really last, is the focus on gratitude. Our gratitude is a weapon. This book explains it better than this review can, so give it a chance.
Second, on page 87, chapter 6 "life in the promised land": "I want revelation more than encounters. Revelation requires more faith. An encounter touches your senses. If you live from your senses, the enemy will take you out 10 times out of 9." If this quote causes you to wonder, scratch your head, or just plain moves you... You might should read this book. I had struggled with this thought for what seems like years, but couldn't formulate it into words. I was pleasantly pleased and shocked to see it so plainly written and spoke in this book.
Be blessed as you continue down the road deeper in the Word and encouraged by God given teaching.
