About this listen

Vlad Dracul, known as The Impaler, rules over Europe from the night with an iron fist. He's made his deal with Satan and acquired the powers of the vampyre. With black magic and his daemonic army, his path to the creation of Drakovia seems inevitable....

Except his brother, Radu, also became a creature of the night. Using his own vampyric nature to combat Vlad, Radu aligns himself with a young hunter and a blind Seer. Together, the three of them are the final hope to make sure Vlad's vile plans of dominion are never realized.

Return to the late 1700s and enter a world straight from your nightmares. Join Radu, Maximus Brinza, and Abigail as they combat all manner of dark creatures and their own pasts. In an era where the Bible was the only book read and where the church was the most important institution, can our three comrades protect the Vatican, or will it fall to Vlad's Malice of the Cross?

Narration Is horrible, Good Story

The story seemed so good & it peeked my interest after reading the summary, BUT....
The narrator was just horrible & came across as if he just was trying WAY to hard. It just killed the story for me, making it just to difficult to understand & to keep up!

Sometimes narrators will improve over time & after a few chapters. Sooo...
I even tried skipping ahead a few times in hopes he would improve, but to no avail.

I can not recommend the narrator at all.
As for the story, it does seem really good & if another narrator should do the reading of the story I would be first in line to purchase the book!!

I was given this book for free at my request and I am providing this honest review voluntarily.

Malice of the Cross

The story was good.Narration by Advait Ghuge was excellent in his voices and speech.I had a hard time with all the repetition. It was very distracting. It was whole lines, then the line again.Maybe a good editor...or just a listen before publishing would have been good. Could have been better

Story line was fine, not really any new ground, but good enough to stay interested in. The narration was overly dramatic and slow at times for me. I've heard worse, but also heard better.

Audio fail!

Radu, brother of Vlad Dracul, Maximus Brinza, a young demon hunter, and Abigail, a blind seer take on the responsibility of stopping Vlad from his plans of domination of Europe; at least Moldovia to start with. Some call this a historical horror work, Vampyres and demon hunters from the 1700s fighting evil. Contrary to the numerous positive reviews, I am having an extremely difficult time hearing and understanding the narrator. The tonal quality of the audio is very low like heavy bass. Then there’s the Renfield accent the narrator uses which just compounds the problem for me. I have to concentrate so hard on listening that it eliminates the enjoyment of the story. My apologies, but I cannot continue with this arduous task. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

A Great Listen

An interesting tale wrapped around Dracula and his domination of Europe. A dark evil is taking over Europe, even the Vatican cannot fight against the pull of the greatest Vampire. Radu will fight against his brother with the help of a demon hunter and a blind seer, but will these three be enough to save the world? An interesting plot and well written character enhance this story that will grab you and keep you listening long after you should have turned it off. Well worth the listen.
