Repetitive and relies heavily on other biographies

This sounds like it was written by a high school student. The timeline is good, but you don't get a sense of Malcolm X's humanity. Narrator was fairly mono-toned. For all the times he cited Alex Haley's comprehensive biography, you might as well just read the real deal. Some basic facts are wrong (the feature film "Malcolm X" was directed by Spike Lee, not Martin Scorcese) and cities get mixed up here and there. Glad it was just 3+ hours.
