Historia
Gambhiram Seshaier was a Municipal Overseer at Tiruvannamalai about 1900. He became a devotee of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi who was then living at the Virupaksha cave on the Arunachala Hill. A student of yoga, he was especially interested in Swami Vivekananda’s lectures on Raja Yoga, Jnana Yoga, etc. Finding some difficulty in understanding these and similar books, he brought them to the Maharshi for elucidation. Sri Bhagavan then went through each of them and wrote out in easy Tamil prose the gist of these works on bits of paper and answered supplementary questions put by Seshaier. ...

The present selection of quotations from the varied works of Sri Ramana Maharshi is a welcome addition to the literature of Sri Ramana Maharshi. Though Sri Bhagavan has repeatedly said in His authenticated publications and in reply to enquirers that the method of “Enquiry” i.e., “Who am I?” is the easiest and the most direct path leading to salvation, yet He has also nowhere and at no time deprecated other methods and paths, Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga and so on, as will be seen from his reply to a query under the head “Self-realization”.

A true American original, Jed succeeds where countless others have failed by reducing this highest of attainments — Spiritual Enlightenment — to the simplest of terms. Effectively demystifying the mystical, Jed astonishes the reader not by adding to the world's collected spiritual wisdom, but by taking the spirituality out of spiritual enlightenment. Never before has this elusive topic been treated in so engaging and ...

Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi’s life itself is Upadesa. His every action, His every movement was the eternal Upadesa — the Golden Silence. Though His written teachings are themselves standing monuments of Truth, yet, for those who could not have direct access to His teachings through the privilege of living with the Master — what is the next best recourse? The seeker if sincere and earnest to tread the direct path of Vichara as taught by Sri Ramana, will find it easier to attach himself to the older devotees who have lived with the Master and directly imbibed His words of nectar. Historia
In this book of key spiritual teachings from unpublished discourses, the great Advaita Master, Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj, teaches us that we are not limited to the body. Because of our mistaken body identity, we feel separate from what we truly are. Our identification with the body and mind subjects us to endless cycles of pleasure and pain, desire and fear, which cause us to search beyond ourselves for that which we believe we lack.

Historia
Inspired by Sri Atmananda (Krishna Menon), the Direct Path is a "pathless path". It simply articulates the being of you and the world as loving, open, clear awareness. If this truth is realized as your experience, then nothing need be done. The path disappears, and life is lived in sweetness and celebration! But if there are still questions or doubts, the Direct Path contains unique and powerful resources that stabilize this truth as your everyday reality.

Historia
The Heart Sutra is Buddhism in a nutshell. It has had the most profound and wide-reaching influence of any text in Buddhism. This short text covers more of the Buddha’s teachings than any other scripture, and it does so without being superficial or hurried. Although the original author is unknown, he was clearly someone with a deep realization of the Dharma. For this new English translation, Red Pine has utilized various Sanskrit and Chinese versions, refining the teachings of dozens of ancient teachers together with his own commentary to offer a profound word-for-word explication.

Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi used to refer to Yoga Vasistha frequently and has even incorporated six couplets from it in His supplement to Forty Verses (verses 21 to 27). The Brihat(Great) Yoga Vasishta or Yoga Vasistha Maha Ramayana as it is also called, is a work of about 32,000 Sanskrit couplets, traditionally attributed to Valmiki, the author of Srimad Ramanaya. It is a dialogue between Sage Vasistha and Sri rama, during which Advaita(the docrtine of non-duality) in its pure form of ajatavada (theory of non-origination) is expounded, with illustrative stories in between.
