About this listen

The pop princess with her bright blue hair, pouty lips, haunting eyes, and the voice of a siren. She’s always been too busy for us. Music seems to be the one language we both speak.

It’s not enough. For her. For them. For anyone.

I’m not enough.

My brothers want her, the world owns her, and everyone else is vying for a piece of her. At the end of the school year, she walked away and didn’t give us a second look. Discarding us like she had her father.

Now, I can’t decide what I want more—for her to come back or to never see her again.

*Please note this is a reverse harem, and the author suggests you always listen to the foreword in her books. Contains some bullying elements, mature situations, and is recommended for ages 17 and older. This is book two of four in a series, and the story will continue in future books.

Slowest Burn

If you love slow burn, this is the series for you! The story is building though and more questions are coming to the surface. The amount of day to day details was a little more than I generally like, but didn’t detract.

Very innocent

I really like the storyline, but it was very PG 13 with lots of information. Like can we get to the good stuff and who will she choose. And hurry up! the narrators were good.

Virtually Flawless

This is only my ninth 5 star trifecta I’ve awarded in the last 200 audiobooks I’ve listened to.

****TIP: Re-read Problem Child if it’s been more than a few months or you’ve listened a lot of audiobooks while waiting for the 2nd book’s release. There are so many nuances and small details that set the stage for Book 2 - Mad Boys. Having them fresh in your mind will ensure you have the best possible listening experience.

Drama

Again drama is all over the place. At some points I got confused but the drama was there. TW there is mention of SA. Still a slow burn with the romance.

I need to know, but I don't want to keep reading

Am I going to read the next book in the series... yes.
Am I annoyed with myself for doing it... also yes.

It's like a car wreck, It's terrible but I can't look away.

I feel the need to know what happens but the journey is so slow and at times ridiculous.

*spoilers below*

With the media being a big part of this story line it makes zero sense how none of the main characters have ever googled each other. I mean, she knows her dad is married to someone with kids and never thought to see who they were? Okay, maybe, that's believable since she is super busy. The guys however all have social media alerts set up on her but have never thought to look into the man their mother is married to? Especially since they are all obsessed with why she doesn't have a relationship with him. Then to not ask her about it in the 2 years they've gone to school together, really?! YES, TWO YEARS have passed over the course of the first 2 books... I don't think you can call that slow burn
