About this listen

Kinsey Millhone's latest client is Malek Construction, a $40 million company still in family hands. It doesn't take an accountant to see that the four Malek brothers stand to inherit a fortune. But one of the brothers has been missing for 18 years, and Kinsey's assignment is to find him.

The stock of family memories is filled with nothing but bitterness, and the prodigal son will find no comfort at the Malek table. If there's one thing that goes hand in hand with bad blood, it's murder - and that's just around the corner.

Judy Kaye is the best narrator

Sue Grafton’s alphabet murders never disappoint! Make sure you only choose Judy Kaye as the narrator, NOT Mary P.!!

Keeps your attention. Quick and interesting.

I just love Kinsey. It kept me guessing and wanting to rush to the end to find out who did it. My favorite part of any mystery. I guess that is everyone's favorite part.

Touching and memorable

This is one of the best in the series, with two different men showing the vulnerable human side of Kinsey. She is relatable and that’s why we love her!

This is my favorite of the alphabet series.

I've listened to it many times. Judy is the only one I'll listen to.

Wow!! Just wow!!

The overall story and the things that were revealed at the end. This story is the first in the series to get me right in the feels.

Love every one of these novels so far!

Sue Grafton was an excellent author. She is missed. It's sad she didn't finish the Z novel before she passed away.

One of my favorites

"M is for Malice" is one of my favorites of the Kinsey Millhone books. Note this is the abridged version -- a good abridgment, but still abridged. While I prefer unabridged books, the unabridged version of "M is for Malice" is not read by Judy Kaye and is therefore invalid -- Judy Kaye *IS* Kinsey Millhone. Eventually the publisher wised up and had Kaye read the unabridged books, too, but unless and until they have Kaye record the unabridged versions of the earlier books (hey, I can hope) this version is, IMO, the way to go.
