Beast storry I've read.

Lyddie uses a re-occuring scene throughout the book. I wish the book was longer so I knew what was to happen in Lyddie's future. This book was so enjoyable, and the narrator showed great emotion.

Beautiful story

A beautiful story that takes place in the 1800. I really enjoyed learning about this time period. Lyddie was such an amazing girl. Loved it and a must read.

I had to read it for class, but I didn't mind

I had to read this for a grad level education class. It was okay. I wasn't sorry that I had to read it.

It's personal for the main character, Lyddie. It does deal with several topics that could be explosive, slavery, abolitionism, child labor, poor working conditions, and death but they are just part of the world the way Lyddie speaks of them and interacts with them.

This book isn't making any political statements, it's very coming of age. It's simple and engaging.

A great story of triumph and coming of age.

Listened to this starting in an afternoon until way too late into the night (morning) because I didn't want to stop.
