Courtroom repetitive story

I was really enjoying the book until they got to the courtroom and lawyers questioning witnesses, got to be repetitive and lost my interest. If you like courtroom logistics then this is for you. Very slow book.

Repetitive

Absolutely loved the narration, She used different voices and accents! The story line was very good and had my attention but so much repetition. I don’t have to be told 20 times that when she returned from her vacation that there were dirty dishes In the kitchen and ants all over! Overall, it was good,

Too much repetition

Story of interest but author goes on and on and on with background that just makes you want to quit the book
Author repeats and repeats and repeats information about Nancy, Nancy’s friends, Nancy’s family and forward motion is a slog.

Too longwinded

Too much repetition. The victim was painted as a saint and which she clearly was not.

Great book but a little biased

I enjoyed listening to the book but I believe author was a little to biased on this one. This should have focused on the facts and not given into confirmation bias like the police did otherwise great boom.

pretty good telling of horrible crime

I live where this occurred so I followed it in the paper- this guy is a narcissist who didn't have a right to be a husband and especially not a father. As usual, however, people tell you who they are...it is our job to listen- the signs were there- wish she had taken the kids and run...the author told a pretty good tale- did frustrate me by failing easy research on some things like simple pronunciations of common legal terms- still, worth a credit for the listen.

This was a good listen, tough topic, domestic abuse, but read and written with lots of detail.

Love this book. Well written. I stayed with the book all day. 😊Sorry but the narrator's accent was annoying.

I agree with the other reviews, so repetitive. Book should have been way shorter with the little amount of details given.

Interesting

Is somewhat one sided presentation, painting the wife as a perfect person and the husband as a rat. However, even with this prejudice apparent in the writing, I do believe there’s some truth to it. I just think Nancy’s own flaws could have been shared too. Her flaws were mild compared to his. Obviously. Brad is not a likable person at all.
