Like the story theme

At times it was confusing with all the characters, but it was a nice family affair.. just a regular story

Good Book

I liked the book and use of characters from other books. unlike other reviewers, I thought the author did good and telling multiple people's stories without confusing us. There were a couple times that the scene transition was abrupt though. The narrator did good with all the characters and maintaining a flow but he had some weird breathing thing going on, like he was running out of breath and it made it sound like characters were shocked, out of breath, or had the hiccups. I wouldn't fire him over it but would ask him to work on that lol

Too much going on

This book was boring. The narration was great but the story itself left a lot to be desired. There were too many characters and I kept getting confused on who was who and who was dating who and who was a sibling to who. It also seemed pointless, like it didn't have a plot. I was disappointed with the storyline.

A family affair

I really enjoyed this more than I thought I would. I think the author did a great job with navigating how these families intertwined with one another. We got to witness several complicated love stories! I definitely recommend this one.

Okay Read

This was an okay read. There wasn’t any suspense and the romance or “love” moved way too fast (I don’t like instalove). There were things I had questions about that weren’t answered and there were a lot of characters so much so that I was lost at parts of the story and had to go back. I wish there was way more suspense, especially since this story is about a black mafia family. The brothers in the mafia didn’t move me at all. I wasn’t expecting to see gory scenes or an exaggerated amount of crime and violence but there was nothing. No shady deals, no jaw dropping scenes, nothing. However, the writing is good even though the story fell flat for me! I would recommend this book. Someone may love what I didn’t like. Happy listening 🙂

It's A Lot

The storyline in itself was good, but there were way too many characters. I found myself constantly having to remember who's who and who's with whom. Narration was good, amazing voice.

Great read

Love the black family.& king family and Edwards family . The friendship between families was insPIRING . THE CONNECTION BETWEEN tbe love interest was so special . Unfair that secrets can strain a family bond . Glad they all can overcome these obstacles

I Was Expecting So Much More!!!

I did not enjoy Love & Law as much as I thought I would. Often times it was corny and, other times, it teetered on boring. I really struggled to finish this book because, there was nothing enjoyable about the storyline. I liked all of the couples. I thought they were paired well and everyone had great chemistry but, the overall storyline, wasn't that interesting. For this to have been a book about cops, there was no crime, no drama, no suspense, no murders, no nothing, and I really think that was a huge mistake on the author's part. How do you write a book centered around crime families and a family of cops and not add any kind of criminal element to the storyline?!!! Where they do that at?!!! I thought something juicy was gon' pop off with Jameson's partner but, that kind of ended before it even began. The author left us with more questions than answers with whatever he was going through. Why was Marcus trying so hard to get warrants on the Black family?!!! Did he leave to return to a crime family of his own?!!! How do you insert this single ounce of mystery then, don't give us any kind of clarity on it?!!! This book could've been so much better if there had been some type of suspense added to the storyline. With no criminal element, it was just flat out boring. I love Benjamin Charles but, I did not like his performance in this book. He irked my last nerve mispronouncing Jameson's name. Jameson has three syllables but, he pronounced it with two. He kept referring to him as Jame-son instead of Jam-e-son. How on earth do you mispronounce Jameson and how was this not caught in pre-production?!!! Love & Law just didn't give what need to be gave. This could've been an a really awesome book but, there were just too many missed opportunities by the author.
