About this listen

Socialite Abigail Mulholland has spent a lifetime surrounded by luxury…until her scenic flight plummets into the remote Australian wilderness. When rescue doesn’t come, she finds herself thrust into a world of deadly snakes and primitive conditions in a landscape that is both brutal and beautiful. But trekking the wilds of Kakadu means fighting two wars—one against the elements and the other against the magnetic pull she feels toward fellow survivor Mackenzie, a much younger man.

Mackenzie Steel had finally achieved his dream of becoming a five-star chef when his much-anticipated joy flight turns each day into a waking nightmare. But years of pain and grief have left him no stranger to a harsh life. As he battles his demons in the wild, he finds he has a new struggle on his hands: his growing feelings for Abigail, a woman who is as frustratingly naïve as she is funny.

Fate brought them together. Nature may tear them apart. But one thing is certain—love is as unpredictable as Kakadu, and survival is just the beginning…

This gripping action-adventure standalone novel is set deep in Australia’s rugged Kakadu National Park and won the Romantic Book of the Year in 2014.

Fantastic story about life & survival

Kendall hit a home run with this one. Listening to this book was not only riveting, but I learned a lot about myself too.
Survival aspects are descriptive & harrowing. The live between Abby & McKenzie is evident in their actions long before they even realized it. I want to listen again!

The description of Kakadu & the struggle for life.

I disliked the narrator’s voice, but I loved the storyline and especially the ending. The wit and sarcasm between the characters made me laugh a lot.

meh....

narrator was good, story was week and when the author started writing about these long drawn out sexual encounters I was bored, actually it was like a 15 year old girl wrote it. I don't recommend
