About this listen

Three young heirs, imprisoned by an unscrupulous uncle, escaped - to the sea, to the streets, to faraway battle - awaiting the day when they would return to reclaim their birthright.

Once upon a time, he was Lord Tristan Easton - now he is Crimson Jack, a notorious privateer beholden to none, whose only mistress is the sea. But all that will change when exquisite Lady Anne Hayworth hires his protection on a trip into danger and seduction....

Desperation brought Anne to the bronzed, blue-eyed buccaneer. But after the Captain demands a kiss as his payment, desire will keep her at his side. She has never known temptation like this - but to protect her heart, she knows she must leave him behind. Yet Tristan cannot easily forget the beauty - and when they meet again in a London ballroom, he vows he won't lose her a second time, as fiery passion reignited takes them into uncharted waters that could lead the second lost lord home....

LOVELY LOVE STORY!!

What did you love best about Lord of Temptation?

The Sensual Whirlwind Romance between Triston and Anne

What other book might you compare Lord of Temptation to and why?

Bk1 She Tempts the Duke of the Lost Lords of Pembrook. Both hero's are tortured hero's and very easy to love.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Anne admitted she was the women with Triston when Hermoine accused him of attacking her on the night Triston and Anne were together.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The Unconditional Love between the couple was very moving all through the story. Neither of them sought there own wants but wanted what was best for the other.

Any additional comments?

Lord of Temptation is another very good love story between the 2nd Pembrook twins Lord Tristan Easton brother to the Duke of Keswick and Lady Anne Hayworth, daughter to the Earl of Blackwood. This is one Hot sensuous Romance between Triston and Anne. It was a whirlwind romance.

Anne has hired Captain Crimson Jack/Triston to take her to Scutari were her fiancé Water has been fighting the Crimean War. She needs to ask his forgiveness for an argument they had before he left for the war. Triston is intrigued and in lust with her. They make a bargain for her to secure passage on his ship the Revenge. Once onboard the attraction between the two is electric. Needless to say Triston is determine to have Anne before she reaches her love Walter. But there is one problem with that and I won't say what. Triston doesn't find out either right away.

Both Triston and Anne are tortured souls Triston because he and his 2 other brothers had to run for there lives when there uncle tried to kill them and they were just young boys. They have lived some pretty hard lives after there escape and it has shaped Triston's views on love and settling down in one place. The Sea is his home now. Anne is troubled by what she perceives she has done to hurt the love of her life Walter and she can't forgive herself just yet.

Lorraine Heath is one of the best Historical Romance authors writing today. Her romances centered around the couple and are very detailed with a backdrop of lively loveable secondary characters. Her stories are well developed with just the right amount of backstory for a series book. I encourage all lovers of HR to read "The Lost Lords of Pembrook!!

Great Series

I loved this series! Each brother had different disastrous experiences scarring their hearts and effecting their adults lives. The loves of each of their lives gave them what they needed to adjust to their new normals. Great ways helped reader to evaluate their own relationships.

Loved it

I've been waiting for this book to come out, since I fell in love with the first one in the series! This one was fantastic. I wasn't a fan of the narrator. But I love Lorraine Heath's books. Can't wait for book 3!

Excellent 2nd book in this series.

This is the 2nd book in the series of Lost Lords of Pembrook. The first book is not available on audible, however I did read it and it was fantastic, it was about Sebastian. This book, Lord of Tempation, is about Tristan and the 3rd book is about Rafe. I am looking forward to the 3rd book which is available on audible, and I am about to start it. I am not sure why audible does not have the books grouped as a series or why the 1st one is not available on audible. However, the order of this series is as follows:
She Tempts a Duke
Lord of Temptation
Wicked Intentions

I hope this helps.
Also I thought the narrator has done a fantastic job!

A Little Too Melodrama

I really believe this book would have been so much better had the narrator not been so melodramatic. I truly like Lorraine Heath books but this one, I didn't, not so much. I understand romance is truly formula writing however, there are writers like Julie Garwood who put such a different twist on the plot that it makes the book worth listening to and enjoy. With that said, if the narrator is over-dramatic, making the female voice shake everytime she uses the word, "love", it takes away from the book.

So through a lot of the book I found myself rolling my eyes.

great depth in the storyline

I love the characters. Heath is amazing. I did laugh a little at the reading as the characters started to sound slightly irish towards the end of the book but it was a good performance. The depth of the story was great.

Oh Lorraine, you know how to tell a tale!

I love Lorraine Heath. I love this book. I need more Lorraine Heath and her complicated, sexy, scarred, tortured heros that melt at the love of a good woman.

This novel is brilliant, enchanting, heart wrenching and just beautiful. I am not going to repeat the plot for you, but just know that this love story is so much deeper than the description leads you to believe.

The whole novel centers around the hero and heroine and the internal obstacles they face trying to love each other. It is just pure romance for the sake of romance. I really didn't think they would figure it out until right up until the end.

I wish that the first title was available as it is sure to be just as beautiful as this. Don't let that put you off though, I kept up with the novel fine without it.

The narrator was a brilliant choice for this book. Her voice is somber and sets the right mood to this haunting tale.

Buy it, throw a credit at it...just get it!

Couldn't ask for more!

Great character development, wonderful continuation of the series using book 1 characters as support. I didn't want to pause this book and was drawn in from the start!

For the love of the Sea

If you could sum up Lord of Temptation in three words, what would they be?

Romantic, Sweet, Entertaining

What was one of the most memorable moments of Lord of Temptation?

There were many pivotal moments in this book but the most memorable for me is probably when Lord Triston gave up his ship at the same time Ann walked out of her wedding.

Have you listened to any of Faye Adele’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Faye Adele was as good as ever in her narration.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

A lighthouse on the shore.

Any additional comments?

Best of the series.
