Dieses Buch spielt mehrere Jahre nach den Ereignissen aus Ein Duke auf Abwegen, behandelt jedoch eine völlig eigenständige Geschichte, die ohne Kenntnisse der anderen Teile gehört werden kann.

Die Autorin hat das Genre hier neu erfunden. Wenn ich daran denke, wie langweilig früher diese Art Buch war, das hier war etwas vollkommen anderes. Abgesehen davon, dass alles mit Tieren eigentlich immer geht, wird es auch nicht eine Sekunde langweilig. Die Geschichte ist so aufgebaut, dass das gar nicht möglich ist. Dazu kommt der grandiose Schreibstil, der seinesgleichen sucht. Der könnte sogar Kühlschränke in der Antarktis verkaufen! Deshalb gibt's von mir eine ganz klare Leseempfehlung!
